Sewer Slimes (1 Star Difficulty)

What caught Helena’s eye was a worn poster that had been used and reused by the client several times. It was one she’d done before: a Sewer Slime hunt with a difficulty of 1 Star. The original reward at the bottom had been crossed out, with updated rewards having been written beside it and subsequently crossed out. The current reward was 10 gold. The norm for a 1 Star job should have been around 20 gold, but this was a low priority.

Helena was familiar with the circumstances for this job: residual mana in waste would gather in the city’s sewers until it birthed slime monsters. They could be easily dispatched by the average mercenary or city guard, which was why the reward was so low. But if left alone, the slimes would target animals and even weak humans, growing in strength until it became a legitimate threat.

It was dirty work that no one liked doing, which was Helena’s specialty, but it also was not urgent. Did Helena want to take this on today?
