Will it be another boring Monday?
Severe Weather Warning: Shitstorm Iminent
Ashley walked into school Monday morning her typical perky, headstrong self. She had a few minutes to kill and smiled at wondering if Zack had recovered from that cheap shot or not. She figured she’d have a chat and possibly tease him some more. As she rounded the corner, she was a bit taken off guard as a girl was already in her typical place standing at his side and giggling at his every word. Zack was genuinely smiling and having a good chat with her. ‘Wait is that… Amber?’ a confused Ashley thought. A passing Heather saw Ashley in the middle of the hall with a strange scrunched up look on her face and her hands on top of her head, staring intensely at something. Heather followed the direction of her eyes and it suddenly made sense. Heather walked up next to Ashley. “If I’m not mistaken a sexy, some would even say genius, woman may have told you recently that you better hurry up and make up your mind, as there are many dying to take your place…” Heather chimed, in a basically I told you so tone.
Ashley barely took her eyes off the scene as she acknowledged Heather’s presence. “Since when has Zack been so close with Amber?” Ashley still couldn’t compute. Amber hung out with basically the worst people in senior year including Zack’s cousin, Harrison. Ashley had avoided anywhere that Zack had been the past week, so she hadn’t caught on to the growing friendship.
“Um she’s been attached to his hip since last Monday, I think. You know, right around the same time that you ghosted him and then kicked him to the curb.” Ashley now turned with a glare at Heather, who simply leaned her head to the side with her eyebrows lifted towards the annoyed blonde. As far as they knew, Zack hadn’t talked to Amber before now. She looked at the two once more and this time saw Amber rush in for a tight hug that Zack returned and a kiss on the cheek before she turned and nearly skips down the opposite hall. Zack grabbed his books and turned seeing Ashley and Heather while giving them a wave. Ashley just stood there prompting Heather to grab the petite blonde’s wrist and raised her arm waving it back at Zack for her. Zack gave a peculiar look back and a slight chuckle. Just then the bell rang, and he grabbed the last of his stuff before heading to the dreaded history class.
Moments before…
Zack had gotten to school a little early and was looking through his crowded locker for his stuff. Being a little more prepared than usual he turned to see a smiling Amber right on time standing timidly next to his locker. Amber rode the bus to school ever since her falling out with the popular crowd and almost always arrived early. Zack was starting to get used to seeing her at his locker and didn’t mind the cheerful morning greetings. Amber asked him about his weekend and smiled at his stories, as she thought it sounded like so much fun. She secretly wished that she would be invited to do cool things like concerts, swimming, or even hanging out at a diner with Zack and the others. She hoped that soon enough she would. He really seemed to be warming up to her she thought.
Zack just remembered and reached in his locker. He pulled out a Starbucks’ coffee still steaming hot. “I’m pretty sure I owe you this and a thanks for trying to cheer me up last week.” Amber nearly snatched it out of his hands beaming at his kind gesture and that he remembered her efforts. The fact that he was thinking about her nearly made her cry tears of joy. She suddenly blushed and became a bit tongue tied which wasn’t noticed by the aloof guy who simply wanted to say thanks and return the favor. He returned his focus to his locker for a moment. The giddy girl thanked him and rushed in for her normal parting hug although this one was a bit tighter for a bit longer, followed by a quick peck on the cheek. Zack's cheek were showing a pink hue as he felt her perky medium sized breasts squeezed up against him as her body seemed to form to his. She turned and all but floated down the hall, gripping her coffee tightly with both hands. Zack was a little surprised by her extra enthusiastic response but was glad he could brighten her day a little more, if that is even possible when it comes to Amber.
The first few classes were finally over, and the students crowded the halls once again. Zack saw Heather, Ashley, and Victoria huddled around Ashley’s locker chatting for a moment before heading to the next course. The kind guy was happy that Ashley and Heather have seemingly repaired their friendship with Victoria. Zack walked over and with his free right hand firmly grabbed Ashley’s shoulder in a massaging motion as he made his presence known to the group. He kneaded his thumb on the inner edge of her shoulder blade and felt her quickly relax at his touch as his large hand continued to squeeze her small shoulder. Ashley didn’t even have to turn to know who it was and subconsciously let out a soft mew before closing her eyes and resting her cheek on his hand. Zack always has given the best massages in her opinion. Her actions brought a peculiar glance from Heather and what appeared to be an annoyed glance from Victoria. It was then that Ashley opened her eyes and saw the attention on her and was suddenly struck with images of Zack and Amber this morning. She straightened up but tried to not make it too obvious to alert Zack. She wanted badly to ask him about Amber but being that they just fixed their friendship, she didn’t want to do anything to risk more damage or if she even had the right to ask after she was the one to declare that they should only be friends. “Is there a fast forward button to skip Monday’s?” Zack asked with a playful grin. Ashley and heather smiled slightly as they imagined such a thing. Victoria not caring to see any more blatant flirting, mentioned something about the yearbook and made her way down the hall. Zack couldn’t really get a read on the gorgeous blonde as she could be as sweet as Amber at times and other times as seemingly cold as Grace, which may make sense being that Victoria and Grace are cousins. ‘Maybe Grace convinced her to hate me as a part of her Ravers vendetta?’ the confused guy pondered. He snapped back to, realizing he’s still in the presence of two fun, beautiful women. “Did I miss anything good?”
“If by good, you mean our Homecoming plans and where our kickass after party should be.” Heather stated actually showing a bit of excitement for once. Going to a football game to celebrate half of the football jocks and stuck-up people that he didn’t associate with wasn’t exactly Zack’s idea of a good time. Ashley recognized that look and wasn’t going to give him an easy out.
“If you noticed we didn’t ask if you were going because skipping it is not an option. If you want to continue being seen with us and the rest of the smoking hot cheerleaders, you will be in attendance!” Ashley half teased but also really wanted him to be there. She knew her chances of winning are slim to none with Heather being the favorite of course and multiple other girls at the school who could be super models. Ashley was heavily rumored to be nominated and wanted to walk out on that field regardless, dressed to kill one more time in front of her classmates.
At that time the first bell rang letting them know that they only had a couple minutes to make it to their next classes. Zack noticed his hand was still on Ashley’s shoulder and slightly embarrassed, removed it and stuffed it in his pocket. “Well, I better get going. If you two are lucky, you’ll see me at lunch.”
Heather enjoyed this more confident side of the guy and decided to tease him back in return “O Zack, if that’s the common response to your massages, can you pencil me in?” She said with a devilish smile and turned slightly towards a mortified Ashley.
Zack tried to keep from stuttering in the presence of his seductress of a cousin. “I’ll see what I can do but the waiting list is quite long. I might have something in Mid-January?” At that the two smiled and shared a glance before he turned down the hall.
Ashley gave Heather a knowing look. “What? I can tease the guy a little bit. If there’s any Ravers in him, then he should know how to flirt. It’s not like I’m trying to fuck him. You have plenty of competition without me entering the mix.” Heather teased in a taunting manner to a flustered Ashley who didn’t have a response for her sexy friend. “God Ash, I use to think that hearing you talk about him was horrible. Watching you **** yourself around him is even worse. Just go for it already. Ask him to Homecoming and then screw his brains out afterwards.” A frustrated Heather nearly demanded. Ashley found the idea of her asking a boy to a dance ludicrous, even if it was a close friend. ‘But friends can go to dances together, right? There’s nothing strange about that.’ She also realized it was doubtful that he’d be the one to ask her after she clearly set the boundaries. After spending time with him over the weekend, she’s confused all over again.
Zack was making his way to his next class in a bit of a hurry to make sure he wasn’t late. When he turned down the hall and was nearing his classroom, he suddenly heard the noise of dozens or more cell phone notifications go off at the same time. That included his. He pulled out his smart phone and realized that an anonymous number airdropped a video to him. He opened it and nearly dropped his phone as he locked his eyes on the scene of him and Madison making out.
Students all down the halls started snickering and pointing at the mortified guy and whispering to each other under their breath. This included some of Madison’s fellow cheerleaders who loved to gossip and more than a couple pissed off football players. Any other evidence of two students kissing wouldn’t be worth anyone’s time. With the infamous Basketball/Football rivalry and already legendary prank war, this made the stakes much higher. For those who didn’t even know Madison, they knew Brandon and it was well known that his sister was off limits. Some students just smirked and shook their heads at the dead man walking. The final warning bell snapped most everyone back to reality as they rushed to their 4th period class. Even the bell wasn’t enough to bring Zack back to reality. He just stood in the center of the hall unable to move or react. Thankfully one of his basketball teammates were walking by and had the same class with Zack. He knew that he basically had a target on his back standing there frozen in time like that and decided to help him out. “Bishop, come on man you’re going to be late to class.” The helpful Liam Watson warned as he did his best to get him to walk again. Liam finally got him in the class and to his seat, but it was clear that Zack was an empty shell at the moment with his mind no where to be found. A few classmates still snickered and pointed while showing the video off to the students who didn’t have the airdrop feature. Zack was processing how in merely seconds, Pandora’s box was just opened on him. Not just him but Madison too. That was enough to slightly bring him back to earth as he knew he had to talk to her and make sure that she is okay.
In what felt like an eternity later, everyone started packing up their materials in anticipation of the bell. Zack never recalled a class feeling as long and tortuous as this one before. He knew that next was lunch and he had to get ahead of this and set things right. Unlike the beginning of the class, he was now laser focused, looking like a sprinter on the block waiting for the starting pistol. The bell rang and he launched towards the door, even disregarding the teacher’s parting words. He had to find Madison.
Just before fourth period, Madison was laughing like a maniac at some wild story that Scarlett was telling her. Grace took a deep, aggravated breath with shoulders slumped at having to hear about more of Scarlett’s escapades. She often even wondered if the stories were real or just made up. Before Scarlett could talk more about her wild rockstar ways or the mystery guy she hooked up with over the weekend, she felt a notification on her phone. Strangely enough, Madison and Grace’s phones also went off as well as many students down the hall. As they each checked their phones curiously, they heard Madison gasp and start repeatedly cussing under her breath. Scarlett and Grace then saw what had upset the feisty girl so much. Scarlett wasn’t shocked by the kiss as she witnessed it, but now that the entire school was going to know about it meant things were going to get really bad at Azure Rocks High. Madison started to get the same snickers, points, and whispers like Zack did. Luckily for her she had backup. Scarlett was actively giving the finger to anyone who dared look their way and Grace was shooting daggers with her eyes at anyone she saw whispering. It doesn’t matter if you are a guy or girl, Grace’s cold stare is terrifying. Grace may not approve of the guys that her friends choose but she won’t let them be slut shamed all the same. Madison wasn’t exactly mortified like Zack, she was pissed. Her eyes darted around daring someone to admit to sending it. She then got cold chills combined with a boiling rage at the idea that her own brother could be behind it.
Zack had zoned out all of those around him as he made his way to the cafeteria. Chloe and Paris were nervously discussing the clip as they saw Zack zip by. Paris tried to shout out to him, but he didn’t seem to notice or see the two worried girls. Paris grabbed Chloe by the wrist and tried her best to weave through the crowd and follow Zack. He burst into the cafeteria and could now suddenly feel how many eyes were on him. As he scanned the entire room, he finally saw Madison with her head down carrying her tray to a table. She happened to look up and meet his gaze with a hesitant look on her face before looking away and turning towards a table near the wall where her friends were sat. Madison was on the edge of tears, screaming, and going on a warpath all at the same time. Brandon’s threat was still echoing in her head, and she knew she couldn’t be seen talking to Zack especially after this. Zack was a bit confused and thought maybe she needed her space. Before he could decide what the best thing to do was, he felt two strong hands connect with the center of his back that nearly gave him whiplash before sending him face down on the ground hard.
The next few moments were nearly a blur. Zack quickly flipped over before trying to make his way back to his feet to identify the culprit. Staring at him hard while taking sharp breaths was Brandon Cole. Most of the noise in the cafeteria went silent as everyone was focused on the two guys. Madison saw the whole thing and slung her tray down before sprinting to the middle of the cafeteria where her crush and brother were currently in the start of a scuffle. Seeing Brandon cheap shot Zack like that from behind made Madison as angry as she’s possibly ever been. Without a second thought she walked straight up to Brandon before landing a hard smack on the side of Brandon’s face, snapping his head to the side. Zack was now back to his feet and could see Madison repeatedly pushing Brandon and punching him in the chest as he tried to make his way closer to Zack. Zack was more concerned with pulling Madison away and calming her down than he was with his attacker. Before Zack had the chance, Brandon used his arm in a sweeping motion to try and move Madison from his way as well as to get her to stop punching him. In doing so Madison lost her balance and stepped on her own feet causing her to trip and fall to the ground. From the view of many others, it looked as if Brandon pushed her. At least that’s how Zack saw it. Brandon was horrified and would never purposely do anything to hurt his sister. As he stared at her with concern, he missed the rage that overcame Zack. Zack used his left hand to grab Brandon’s shoulder and spun him until they were face to face before connecting a hard right hand to Brandon’s eye. Brandon stumbled back a bit before and was overwhelmed with thoughts before he rushed back at Zack, tackling him to the ground. At this point the entire cafeteria erupted.
Ralph leaped up from his seat and jumped the table that was currently acting as a barrier between him and the battling guys. “Let’s kick some ass boys!” He was quickly followed by Troy and Paul. Liam was the next up as he hoped to possibly help control the chaos more than simply join in but certainly wouldn’t leave his teammates behind. Jake Hayes saw the commotion and slung his seat as he too went to sprint into the mayhem. Alice tried to grab his arm and plead for him to stay but it was too late, and Jake didn’t even hear her as he was focused on helping his friend. On the far end of the cafeteria, Kevin also saw what was unfolding. He turned to Chloe quickly with a slightly mixed but determined look on his face “I’m sorry Chloe, I have to help Zack.”
“Go!” Chloe said nearly pushing him out of his chair, having a far different response than Alice. Chloe and Paris were actually right behind Kevin as they too hurried into the scene. Ashley jumped up out of her seat and was frozen as she watched her best friend and ex-boyfriend in a fist fight. She didn’t know what to do but couldn’t simply sit back and do nothing. It was then that she saw Madison, who in Ashley’s mind was the cause of all of this. The petite blonde’s face was red with anger as she made her way towards Maddy to confront her. Clark Bishop had just gotten to the cafeteria and had only just paid for the food on his tray when the wick was lit. He slammed down his tray with a sharp shake of his head and pushed his way into the middle.
As the basketball guys leaped into battle, the football players had the same reaction. Trent showed no hesitation as he sprinted to Brandon’s aid. Scott was right behind him and then showed his speed and craftiness as he actually got through the crowd quicker than Trent. The large Louis Darrell, who was the star linebacker for the team, let out a smile and a crack of his knuckles as he calmly made his way towards the enemy followed by several other of the guys. At this point, it was hard to determine who was on which side the seats kept clearing and it was just a tangle of angry students.
Brandon and Zack were battling for control on the ground as they both were scrambling around. Zack’s speed caught Brandon a bit off guard but eventually overpowered Zack as he postured above him and landed two hard shots on Zack, before the blue-eyed guy was able to cover up and buck his hips causing Brandon to lose his balance as they were once again scrambling. Brandon again found himself on top and went to sit up to deliver more shots. Before he was able to do so a white and purple athletic shoe connected full **** into Brandon’s ribs. Brandon winced and squeezed his eyes shut as he toppled off of Zack onto his side. Zack turned his head to identify his rescuer to see a furious Chloe with her fists clinched. ‘Maybe her soccer skills are more useful than I thought.’ Zack quickly pondered before shaking it off and realizing the madness around him. One of the football players snatched Chloe up from behind before she could do anymore damage to their captain. Turned out to not be a smart move on his part as she turned and connected an elbow to his jaw that made him suddenly lose grip. She tried again to get to Zack but couldn’t break through the crowd. Trent spotted Zack attempting to recover and set his sights on the target that didn’t even see him coming. Only a few feet away from him, Trent barely saw the outline of a fist that connected hard to his nose causing his vision to instantly blur and he had to put a hand on a table to stabilize himself before he dropped from the blow. His face was now a mess and his nose was dripping all over the place.” Trent heard a voice as he tried to recover his blurry vision. “Don’t forget to tell everyone this story at the family reunion Cuz.” Kevin realized Trent wasn’t in any shape to defend himself so he refrained from any more damage just simply pushed him over before jumping back in to see who he could help or if he could make it to Zack.
Grace’s table didn’t know what to make of the chaos as each girl had very differing reactions to it all. As they tried to wrap their heads around it, they noticed the behemoth of a boy, Russell Stanley charging like a rhino at his target. The target who happened to be the unluckiest guy alive today, Zack Bishop. Scarlett, thinking quickly snatched up Grace’s tray and slung the food off of it, which caused Grace to yell at her not knowing what she was doing. Focusing on Russell’s path, Scarlet slung the tray like a frisbee as it spun across the cafeteria floor. As Russell took his next step in a full sprint, the tray slid perfectly under his foot as he went to step down. The speed in which Russell’s face went from pure anger to pure fear was instantaneous. For a moment he looked like the world’s least graceful ballerina, as he slid a ways on one foot. He then lost his balance altogether as both feet go straight up in the air and Russell lands directly on his back with a gasp from having all of the air knocked out of him. He didn’t look to be getting up anytime soon. A wide-eyed Zack was still in shock trying to figure out what the hell just happened and if he had a guardian angel that saved his life from Russell. He turned and caught a cheeky expression from Scarlett as she gave him a wink and sat back down taking a drink from her soda.
Many of the other athletes were giving as good as they got. The athleticism of the basketball team was holding up much better than most would have guessed against the brutish football players. Troy and Louis were trading shots, both doing damage and taking damage. Paul was doing well before a couple guys teamed up against him and slung him over a table. Ralph had a busted lip and a swollen eye, but you’d barely register it looking at the guy. He was grinning like a kid at Chucky Cheese before he launched himself onto one of the guy’s backs. Clark was quietly doing some of the most damage as he strategically threw strikes at each target taking several out of the fight. He noticed it was now much more than just the two teams who have entered the brawl. He continued to push his way to where he last saw Zack. They may not be close but he’s still family. As much as Clark never wanted this to happen, the older cousin was actually impressed to see Zack defend himself and a girl from harm. Nearly the entire senior class had entered the battle to some degree minus the populars who wouldn’t dare risk injury to their perfect faces. There were a few actively trying to create peace, including Duncan, Tanya, and Surprisingly Scott Coburn.
Ashley clawed her way through the crowd and finally found Madison who was being partially held back from a couple football players trying to keep her safe. Ashley spun her around but clearly didn’t have her full attention. Madison glanced at Ashley not knowing what was going on and failing to see the anger she was putting off. “What the hell Maddy! Are you happy now? Was all this worth getting a little action in the parking lot?”
Madison’s world stopped as she could barely believe what she was hearing. Her anger hit its erupting point and blinded her thoughts. Any other time she would have been hurt to have one of her close friends come at her in this manner. “Are you fucking kidding me Ash? You want to pin this on ME?? Oh sweetie, you must be forgetting that this all started with you! When you dated my brother, you still couldn’t stay away from Zack for five minutes, let alone keep your hands off him. How exactly do you think that was for Brandon with you talking about how great another guy was all the time? They had never had a single issue before you snaked your way into his life.” The venomous tone of Madison cut deeply into Ashley. Madison still full of rage got into Ashley’s face, “Are you actually mad about the cause of this fight or that it was me instead of you kissing Zack?” Ashley’s teeth were grit together as she stared back at Madison. Not currently seeing a friend but a nasty girl who would say anything to hurt her. Ashley couldn’t put her feelings into words before they turned to action instead and she pushed the taller Madison out of her face. Madison was shocked and instantly stepped towards Ashley again. “You did not just push me you pint sized bitch!” Madison’s head was shaking with a mixture of angry and shocked laughter.
Lisa couldn’t take this anymore. She leapt out of her seat in a haste to make her way over to Madison. She crossed straight through the middle of the cafeteria daring anyone to try and stop her as her gaze was fixed on Madison. Zack was making his way to his feet as Lisa ‘accidently’ stepped on his ankle causing him to wince once again. Lisa made it the arguing cheerleaders just in time to hear Madison blaming all of this on Ashley. “Wow, you’re a hypocrite and a backstabbing whore.” Madison turned from her current confrontation with Ashley to notice the aggressive Lisa making quite the entrance to the argument. “You’re supposed to be my best friend and you’re running around, kissing my ex-boyfriend.” Ashley suddenly remembered who it was she was fighting with and didn’t like the way Lisa was talking to her friend. Before Ashley could even get any words out, Lisa turned how rage towards the unsuspecting blonde. “I don’t want to hear a word come out of your two-faced mouth. You acted all sweet towards me and were so excited to want to hook me up with your ‘friend’ and were also so damn cheery once we got together. Didn’t stop you from trying to steal his attention any chance you could. Fuck you treat him like he’s your property more than you do as a friend. You pick him up and play with him when you’re bored and then put him right back on the shelf when you can’t be bothered by him or have better options. The moment I broke things off with him, you fucking ghosted me quicker than he did. You were just trying to keep him on a nearby leash in case things didn’t work out with Brandon and you needed a nearby cock to sit on. I bet anything you’ve already fucked him, haven’t you?” Ashley was taken back by Lisa’s harsh accusations. She was fighting back tears as she stopped to wonder if that’s how people really think she treats Zack. She wasn’t the only one currently wondering this.
As people were still fighting and being dragged to safety or simply trying to escape the violent encounter, Zack made his way to his feet and looked around for any of his feet. He also noticed Lisa storming through with the not-so-subtle stomp on his ankle that’s the cause of his current limp. He tried to trail behind her when he saw her going towards Madison and Ashley, wanting to make sure that they were both safe. Lisa was moving much too quick for him, but he caught the tail end of her piercing words to Madison and everything that she said to Ashley. He was left slightly dumbfounded but mostly angry that she would say something so cruel and blatantly false to his sweet best friend. What really caught him off guard was that Ashley said nothing to defend herself or deny it. Not a single word. Zack was bumped into from the side and stumbled while trying to prepare himself for another fight. This time it was two strong hands actually help balance him. Zack was shocked to be eye to eye with Scott Coburn, the school’s running back. Scott made no attempt to fight him and appeared to have been pushed into him. Scott gave him a simple nod before turning and helping Brandon up, assisting him out of the crowd.
Madison was able to recover herself while Lisa’s attention was diverted. She was somewhat distracted so she didn’t fully process everything that Lisa had said to Ashley in the moment. “Now you hold the hell up. You’d known for years that I’m had a major crush on Zack, and I backed off the moment you told me that he asked you on a date. Fuck, I even **** myself to be supportive and over time actually came to terms with it because I wanted to see you happy and with something that would be good to you. So don’t you dare for a second act like I was scheming against you. It was your choice to break it off with him because you didn’t want a nice guy who treated you well. You used to complain nonstop about the relationship was stale and he wasn’t passionate and thrilling enough for you. Well, some of us would be more than happy for a sweet, protective guy that wants nothing more than to make us happy. So that’s entirely on you! And I still stayed away even after you broke up which was almost a year ago. I hear you talk nonstop about all these different guys that flirt with you, who give you their number and shit. Your one-night stands when you’re away for soccer games. Not once do you ever mention or ask anyone how Zack while doting about every other guy you meet. So don’t even try and give me this betrayal shit.” Madison was too enraged to realize what she had just admitted to, next to a stunned Ashley.
Lisa’s anger was only building, and she cut Madison off before she could say anymore. “What are you expecting a badge for getting poor Zack back on his big boy bike and sticking your tongue down his throat and who knows where the fuck else you’ve put it. He’s my ex! Sorry if it doesn’t please you that it’s not my favorite topic in the world to discuss. And fuck off trying to shame me for having fun with other guys. I’m single. You don’t see me getting in relationships or bringing them around my friends. Hell, if you want to steal them too, eat your heart out babe. You seem to have a thing for my discarded toys. But that wouldn’t bother me because they meant nothing. Zack and I dated for a couple months and now I’m supposed to believe that you weren’t just plotting against me the whole time. Keep showing off your fake tough attitude and blaming your family for being the reason you can’t date. We all know the truth is your just a bitter fucking coward!”
*Smack*
Lisa’s head twisted as a look of shock took over her face. Madison was still staring harshly at the recoiling girl and also had a stunned look as the sound echoed off of Lisa’s cheek. She turned to her right to see Ashley shaking her stinging hand that was now bright red. Ashley too was surprised at her own impulse and slightly scared, as the feisty Hispanic girl is not one that you want to mess with. Madison blinked a couple times and gave Ashley the slightest smile before quickly grabbing Ashley’s non throbbing hand and pulling her away before Lisa could react.
Victoria saw Brandon being helped out of the ruckus and holding his side, “Heather! Brandon is hurt we need to go help him and make sure he is okay!”
“The fuck we do!” Heather spit back standing firm with her arms crossed. “If I go over there, I’m likely to kick him in the other side for starting all of this shit.” Victoria looked shocked at Heather’s words and then pursed her lips at Heather.
“Um you may want to get your eyes checked because it was that cousin of yours that clearly hit him first and Brandon only defended himself.” Heather stepped in Victoria’s face causing the nonconfrontational blonde to gulp.
“That cousin of mine was protecting our friend Madison and standing up to that half-wit bully. You may want to choose your next words wisely princess, or we may end up being round 2.” Victoria started backing up and held her lips together tight not saying a single word. Once there was enough distance between the two, she turned and hurried off towards Brandon.
Most of the underclassman just watched it in shocked silence. Some with more interest than others, like Josh Bishop who was worried about his siblings and cousin. Next to him was Holly McRose, who may not be as physically intimidating as her athletic sister but she’s certainly not one to only sit back and watch. Especially if her dream man is involved. Armed with a milk carton in hand, she bombed it towards the closest football player near Zack. “Bullseye!”. With the ground troops starting to ware themselves out and collect their wounded, Holly McRose just initiated the airstrike as food started flying in every direction.
Amber yelped as the first item splashed nearby and decided to join in as well followed by multiple other cheerleaders. Most of Amber’s throws just happen to be off target and seemingly more aimed towards Harry. After a few tries, a milk carton was heading straight at Harry who ducked at the last minute as it exploded all over Naomi and even splashing Sharon. Naomi screamed and Sharon jumped grabbing a handful of food to retaliate. As she took a few steps closer, she found herself nose to nose with Paris Bishop. “I dare you to even try it.” Paris threatened as she stared through Sharon. Sharon finally backed down after a few seconds and even scoffed at the blue haired girl.
“Leave it to the resident lesbo to try and get frisky during a fight. Pathetic!” She tried her best to look tough but couldn’t hold the gaze and looked away before sitting back down as Naomi was frantically trying to dry herself off. Harry was mildly amused.
The faculty had been trying to break it up for a while but didn’t stand a chance. All of the shouting, whistle blowing, hand waving, and flickering of lights did nothing to calm this riot. Madison had gotten Ashley back to the safety of Heather and figured the only way to end this is to take it back to where it all started. She saw Brandon hunched over with Scott and the also injured Trent trying to give him aid. “Are you happy now Brandon?! Was this all worth it? Madison was screaming loud enough to be heard amongst the ongoing battle and caused many to turn their attention to her. She continued to walk up to the trio as Brandon raised his head to look at her. “SO, you can man whore across the whole damn school, and I kiss one guy and you and you barbarians try to tear the school down? Is this what I have to look forward to? Are you going to beat up every guy I ever kiss?” With that Madison turned with a quickness and cupped her hands on both sides of Trent’s face hard before leaning in and smashing her face against his. His blurred eyes opened in a flash, barely being able to see what was happening but having no ability to react. Madison drew back her lips and pushed his face away hard while staring at Brandon the whole time. “So, what now tough guy. Are you going to kick your own best friend’s ass because I kissed him too? I mean it’s working so well for you so far.” She then turned and grabbed two tight handfuls of the collar of Scott’s shirt before pulling him into an aggressive kiss. It lasted about a second or two before she shoved the shocked and timid boy away. “How ‘bout it Bran, you going to take out the star running back too? I’ll keep this up all day until you’re the only one on the fucking field!” Almost the whole cafeteria went quiet and merely looked at the bold cheerleader as she completely shut down her tough guy brother. The staff were quick to use the distraction to finally break it up once and for all. Separating them the best they could and escorting them out of the cafeteria. The staff was scrambling, debating on just cancelling the rest of the day but were scared of what would happen in the parking lot or after school. Instead, they led them to the gymnasium and did their best to separate all of the seniors as much as they could in the bleachers with absolutely no talking. As they were filing out, the principal and assistant principal personally grabbed Zack and Brandon and escorted them both to the office while only thinking how to handle the disaster of a day that certainly won’t be forgotten for years to come.
