Settling In

In light of all the changes to Silvan's life, it took a few days to get everything in place. His new jobs were going to be fairly easy to manage since the town didn't need much in the way of a mayor, and things generally were quiet enough that no lawman was needed. But what problem was that there needed to be records kept now, as well a place to store them. Silvan was suddenly very thankful for all the treasure that he had collected. He placed several work orders, which allowed him to spread the wealth around the town, and get his needs filled.

First he needed to supply a food source for Lady Clair. It wouldn't take long for a shack and goat farm to be built behind the brothel for her feeding needs, and she could take care of the goats herself in her spare time. Next he commissioned for the nursery to be built on. This would be extended out from the bottom floor, giving the brothel an extra room. Silvan decided to go ahead add in a few more renovations as well. This plan added a hallway off the main room of the brothel that would lead to several small rooms and end at a nursery and playroom for any children that were born. The smaller rooms, numbering six, would be private rooms for clients willing to pay extra for privacy. These rooms were to be equip with dance poles and sofas. The added space also allowed for expansion of the second floor for rooms for the children once they were older.

The next set of additions that he ordered was a barn for their new horses and Pepper's cart. Although he himself was only keeping two of the original three horses, it was agreed that Pepper and Andreas could both put their horses there as well. He decided to keep the brothel's records separate from the town records and had an office space added on to the barn. Construction for everything was going to take at least three months to do properly, so he had the goat farm and nursery scheduled first.

It was now five days from returning home, and Silvan was finally getting a chance to rest. While losing Mona's had been a blow for the brothel, the men of the town were more than willing to try out Clair and Dahlia in her absence. They were actually quite popular. Dahlia's centuries of experience made her one of the most skilled and knowledgeable when it came to pleasing men and women both, and Lady Clair's noble personality and dress made her popular for those who wanted a taste of luxury. Winona and Mona were working well together running the tavern, with Mona manning the bar and kitchen. The minotaur occasionally offered blow jobs to a few of her regular customers so that they didn't forget about her while she was off whore duty, and promised to give them more as soon as she was able.

Tila and Slippy were the least affected by all the change, though Tila tried to spend more and more time with Silvan than working. This was fine with him of course, though she was quite jealous when she found out that Pepper was now sleeping with him as well. Pepper had only come by to share his bed a few times since returning home, having to spend a lot of time smoothing things over with her parents over her new direction in life. Silvan worried she would end up giving up on her adventuring life that she desired, but she promised him she wouldn't. He was thinking of that very thing when the girl in question came into the loft, a muscular swordsman in tow.

"Silvan, I'm glad I caught you with a free moment. Allow me to introduce Reikan. He's a swordsman that was protecting one of the caravans that passes through town and he's agreed to be my bodyguard while I'm on the road."

"Oh, so you're really going to do it?"

"Yes, I finally convinced my parents to let me leave."

Silvan stood from his desk and walked over. He shook the swordsman's hand and offered him a drink.

"No thanks, I'm hoping to have a clear head for tonight."

"Tonight?"

"Yes, I decided to give your brothel a try before we hit the road. I've been kind of wary of it the few times I passed through, but Pepper here assures me that I'll love it. Shame that your Minotaur isn't working, she could have been fun."

"Well, I'm sure one of the other girls can meet your needs for the evening," Silvan said with a knowing smile.

"Maybe I could," mumbled Pepper, which drew the men's attention.

"Pepper? What are you saying?"

"Well you know how Clair kept asking me to join in back when we were on the road? I thought it over and I think I'll give it a go tonight.... You know, as a kind of goodbye to everyone in town. I'll be on the road for months before I come back, so I thought it would give everyone something to remember me by, and give me one more good memory of this place before I leave. N-now don't count on this being an every visit thing mind you!"

Silvan was a little shocked that she had thought of this, but readily agreed. Reikan looked the girl up and down hungrily and then pulled out some gold and handed it to her. When she looked at him in surprise, he simply said that he was putting a down payment to be her first client. Silvan chuckled as Pepper grabbed the gold and promised to let him be first. He had no doubt that Reikan would be pleased with her, and that they would probably become lovers on the road.

Once they left, he thought about women in his life. Winona had spent every night with Andreas since they had arrived back in town. He also knew she wasn't charging him either. She seemed really attached to his friend, and him to her, so Silvan was happy to let them have their relationship. They were obviously keeping things open since Winona was still giving quickies on the side to a few clients, but Andreas didn't seem to mind. He had even paid for some fun with Tila the night before while Winona was still working.

Slippy was still getting regular visits from her favorite old man, and seemed to be even larger than when he had left. She had not been growing this rapidly before, and Silvan wondered if it would become a problem later. Sooner or later, she may need to divide off a few of her own offspring. Thankfully, children wouldn't be an issue with Dahlia and Clair. Clair wanted children, but couldn't have them. Maybe she would agree to be den mother to the nursery in her free time?

Then there was Tila. When Silvan thought of her having children, it sent a shiver down his spine. He wanted her to have kids,but he wanted them to be his. He had no doubt that she would readily agree to this, but he wasn't quite ready to be a dad. He was worried though that seeing Mona pregnant would make Tila desire motherhood herself. If she came to him begging, he knew he would probably give in.

Finally there was Mona. Silvan realized that he hadn't spent a lot of time with her since they had made this tiny village their home. He knew he needed a break from all the craziness going on, and decided to call upon her for the night. Winona could just use the other girls when they weren't working to fill in. He needed to show Mona that she still mattered to him, and this way they could be work out some tension from all the excitement and changes.

As the day wore on and night began to fall, customers began showing up at the tavern in preparation for the brothel's main business hours. Word had gotten around that Pepper was going to be working as well, so many of the men were there specifically for the once unobtainable young woman. She was waiting nervously by her chosen stall when Silvan came down from his loft. She had gone to Clair and borrowed some cloths and jewelry for the night, and looked fantastic. The girls had all bathed and cleaned to make sure that tonight would be a big money maker for all of them, and Silvan couldn't help but feel proud of them. He made his way out of the brothel and into the tavern. Once he announced that the girls were ready, the men gave a whoop and rushed past him for the door. normally there wasn't a line for service, but tonight things were going to be busy. Reikan nodded to Silvan as he passed, and went to get his first taste of the brothel.

Silvan made his way into the kitchen of the tavern and found Mona finishing a meal.

"Sorry, I know I'm supposed to be at the bar, but I'm eating for two now. I feel like I'm always hungry these days!"

She had a noticeable bump now that Silvan found to be very cute on her. Gert was a fool for running off without realizing he was going to be a father. Mona probably would have been happy for him to have stayed and helped her with the child. Silvan didn't mind picking up the slack though. Mona was his. All of them were. No matter who fathered any of the children to come, he would be there to take care of them.

"Mona, its ok. I know you need to eat more now. Though I was hoping I could convince you to take a break from the bar anyway."

"A break? Why?"

"Well, we haven't had a lot of time together lately...."

"Oh! Um... Well, I do have a private room now. How about we slip off to it for a bit?"

"That's exactly what I was hoping for."
