Chapter 67 by BlackMonosh BlackMonosh

What's next?

Settle the problem

During dinner, you make small talk with Muller family, explaining that you're here to do an inspection of the area due to its excellent management. Technically, you're not lying since the Muller family is managing its territory well and can teach other less frugal lords a thing or two. Even if the current lord is an annoying asshole who only cause trouble to you with his dick, he's still quite competent enough.

While creating good rapport is of importance, you spend the time listening to all of them, the asshole included, and complimenting each one of them. From what you have learned, most people like two things, for people to listen to them and listening to people talking good things about them. As the one who managed to put down the barbarian insurrection, you count yourself quite experienced in both and judging from response from the family in front of you, you're getting through to them.

Eventually, the dinner ended two hours later, and each one of you retires to your room. You signal for your guards to get something to eat as you return to their room. Despite their concern, you persist, as the security in the compound is quite excellent and you are more than capable to defend yourself. Finally, they acquiesced and leave their posts.

You enter the room and lie down on the bed. It is time for you to solve the problem. However, despite what Muller expected you to do, you're not going to use your position to settle the family problem. They're not going to listen to you. Sure, they will comply in front of you but there's no telling what they will do behind you. If that's what going to happen, you might as well not do anything.

Since you have committed yourself, you might as well do an excellent job. That means you're going to tackle the problem at the basic level so that the solution will remain permanent.

Who did Muller knock up again?
