Setting Things In Motion

JJ, Mindy, and Brian marched their way back down the mountain side towards the lodge. After the spat between JJ and Mindy things had grown quite awkward and distant. Seeing that Nicole apparently wasn't planning on returning to their group and Mindy's constant pressure about what Anna and Kenny were doing, Brian decided to call it after an hour.

The blonde wasn't upset over the turn of events, honestly the whole situation didn't affect anything he had started putting together in his head. The seeds were still laid for his and Mindy's "relationship" and it was clear to him the slim Asian girl was ready to play ball...now he just had to start recruiting a little extra help.

As the trio reached the back deck of the lodge and climbed the steps, Brian pulled out his phone and wrapped his other arm around Mindy's waist. The girl quickly looked over in surprise, but Brian gave her a quick wink and whispered, "Let's start getting into their heads,"

Mindy felt a surge of excitement and rapidly nodded in agreement, "Yes, finally, okay...what are we going to do when we see Kenny?"

"He's gonna see us," Brian clarified before swinging the girl around and lifting his phone up, "Smile Mindy," Brian laughed in a chipper tone that caused JJ to look back and immediately frown. Like lightning Brian was snapping pictures of him and Mindy in front of the lodge the two grinning ear to ear, along with a couple of pecks on the cheek or lips, "Want to let everyone know I'm having a great time with one of the hottest fucking girls around,"

Mindy couldn't help but lightly blush at the comment, part of the plan or not, Brian calling her hot was a definite ego boost. "As long as you don't start posting...other pictures of me, I'll be just fine," She surprisingly teased, catching Brian of guard,

"Guys, can we just get inside?" JJ sighed as he crossed his arms,

"Whose stopping you?" Mindy shot back,

"Easy tigress, lets keep things light," Brian soothingly interjected, Mindy and JJ fighting were not part of the plan, "Let's go get warm," The teen finished as he lead Mindy to the door with a disgruntled JJ following behind.

The trio entered the lodge and kicked off their boots. JJ watched while Brian and Mindy headed right up the stairs together, still arms wrapped around each other while Brian posted the pictures he just took with Mindy. "What the fuck..." JJ grumbled with a shake of his head, "What is wrong with that girl,"

With a final scoff, JJ hung up his coat and walked through the lodge, heading back towards his room, deciding a few minutes to clear is head would be best. The teen stopped as he passed by the den, catching a glimpse of Nicole lazing on the sofa, flicking through the tv channels. With a tilt of his head, JJ diverted direction and walked into the room, staring directly at Nicole with frustrated confusion, "Sup?" Nicole smirked with a nod of her head,

"Sup?" JJ echoed back, "What the hell? You ditched me out there and I thought it was because you were working on some big plan but you're not...you're...what the hell are you even doing? Did you even talk to Anna and Kenny?" JJ chastised with a toss of his heads,

"Hell yeah I talked to them," Nicole proudly replied while leaning back, resting her hands behind her head, "What I'm doing now is basking in victory, stud,"

"Victory?" JJ repeated again, his tone very dismissive,

"Victory, yeah, I did it JJ. Hook, line, and sinker. Anna and Kenny are one hundred percent a thing because of me. Since I got back I found out they already had fucked but were a little...washy on actually getting together. But, lucky for you, I know my best friend, I know when she's infatuated, and I also know how to get right under her skin. Batted my eyes at Kenny a few times, made a few flirty comments and boom! Anna was yanking that guy away to the rec room in seconds," Nicole exclaimed with a laugh,

"How does you flirting with Kenny mean they are a couple?" JJ retorted with a small shake of his head, "You know you could fuck with his head right? Make him want you,"

"Okay, first off, I know it worked because I got to hear some very loud thumping and screaming for the last hour or so, and second, what is with this fucking attitude? When I left you at the pond you were all smiles and laughs, now your a brooding brute, what gives?" Nicole asked in a mixture of irritation and ever so slight concern,

JJ sighed and hung his head, rubbing his forehead slowly for a moment, "Sorry...things got...frustrating outside," JJ explained while wandering towards the couch and plopping down next to the redhead, "I didn't mean to take it out on you. You're the one whose actually helping out here,"

"Uh, yeah, thank you," Nicole replied with a flick of her hair, feigning smugness. A breathy laugh left JJ's lips before the pair went silent, Nicole patiently waited her usual five seconds when she knew someone had a juicy story to tell, but JJ seemed content with keeping things quiet. "Jesus, will you tell me?!" The redhead exclaimed with a small bounce,

"Tell you what?" JJ dryly asked back,

Nicole rolled her eyes and shook her head, "What's got your panties in a fucking bunch!" Nicole joked giving the jock a small playful shove,

"Okay, please never say that phrase again," JJ weakly joked before letting out a profound exhale, leaning back on the couch, and kicking his feet up, "And...what happened was...Brian and Mindy, alright?"

"What about them?" Nicole asked with a little curious tilt of her head, "Their weird flirting keep up out there?"

"Exactly!" JJ nodded with a quick scoff, "Let's be honest with ourselves here, Nikki, we all know who Brian is. We like him, we tolerate him, we hang out from laughs, but we all know to his core, Brian is a damn dog when it comes to girls," Nicole shrugged her shoulders and nodded, unable to disagree, "Normally, that's whatever, that's what he wants to do, I don't make it my business. I do make it my business though when he starts targeting my friends. You protected Anna from him and pushed her with Kenny, something we both knew was for the best of them, but now he sunk his teeth into Mindy, and...and it's like she's brainwashed!"

"What are you talking about? Mindy and him flirting a little, who cares? Mindy is a grown woman, she might want to get a little something on the side from him, that's not a crime. Brian might be a dick, but he knows how to show a girl a good time, that's for sure," Nicole pointed out in a relaxed tone, only to see JJ tense and cringe at her words, "Obviously they are hamming it up a little bit, probably becuase Mindy is jealous of Anna so shes negging Ken, but at the end of the day, Brian can work for her,"

"Brian isn't the guy for Mindy, period. Believe me when I say Mindy never gave a single fuck about Brian and she definitely didn't think about looking for casual hook ups with anyone. Mindy wants love, she wants a relationship, she wants something real, and now that she's upset and ****, Brian is swooping in for the kill." JJ sharply told the redhead who let out a small nod, and shrugged again,

"Okay, then tell her that," Nicole suggested making JJ groan,

"I did! I tried to warn her and protect her from Brian today but she snapped at me. She told me to back the fuck off and I...I'm at a loss for fucking words. She's one of my best friends and I can't do a damn thing to help her because all she can think about is Brian, Brian, Brian! Which, let me add, doesn't make any fucking sense, because she doesn't and shouldn't care about Brian!"

"Oh my God...oh my fucking God," Nicole softly said to herself before letting out an amused giggle, "Oh my God, JJ,"

"What? What?" JJ swiftly asked back, his eyes wide wondering what Nicole figured out that he must have missed,

"You're jealous!" Nicole exclaimed causing JJ to throw his hands up in the air again and let out a short growling yell,

"No, I am not fucking jealous. Jesus Christ! I am concerned for my friend, that's all!" JJ shouted out, staring up to the ceiling in defeat,

"You totally are, Mindy has a crush on Ken forever, and that's like so what, whatever but once she gets over it she goes for Brian and not you, that sucks!" Nicole pointed out with another laugh,

"Stop talking, just stop talking," JJ denied while reaching out and cupping a hand over Nicole's mouth, "This whole part of the conversation stops right now,"

Nicole let out a muffled, "Okay," into JJ's hand and the teen slowly lowered it away. The pair went silent again and leaned back relaxing once more, "Well...like it or not, they seem to be happening...which works out great for me,"

"For you?" JJ asked in a daze,

"Yeah, I am vacationing in a huge expensive lodge for free, my best friend has an amazing, cute new boyfriend who is perfect for her, and all I had to do to keep Brian at bay was suck his cock once, now Mindy is taking care of him! That is an ultimate win in my book," Nicole sighed contently, "Yeah, this worked out to be a pretty perfect day,"

"Goodie for you," JJ sarcastically replied,

"Actually," Nicole hummed while rolling her head to stare at JJ, "I'm one thing off from having a perfect day,"

"Oh no," JJ smirked while looking over to the girl, "And what pray tell is keeping Nicole Moore from having her "perfect" day?" The teen finished letting more heavy sarcasm roll from his words. Nicole immediately brought a hand up to JJ's face, cupping the side of his head while smoothly pressing her lips against his, a soft hungry moan escaping her lips.
