Serious Sparring

"Were you fighting without us!?" Luna angrily asks once she and Innu get to me. Andrew and the others are a few feet away. I see Asami laughing behind Luna with Marlo and Irene following her. Luna and Innu are both wearing their armor. I briefly wonder if they were waiting for me in my Domain and were going to drag me here once I got back.

"Yes, I was testing the new members. I wanted to see how they were and what they need to improve. The two of you aren't the best at holding back. So I thought it best to leave you out of it." I say causing her to growl. Innu bares her sharp teeth as dark red flames seep from the corners of her mouth.

"Us too! You'll spar with us!" Innu says while reaching into her Spatial Pouch on her hip. She pulls out her Gigantomakia blade and points it at me. Luna nods while taking her Wolf King Gauntlets out. I sigh as Asami and the others reach us.

"I think that would be a good idea!" Asami says proudly.

"Why?" I ask her confused. I don't plan of refusing, but I'm still curious.

"It'll let the others see your strength. Not just yours Eric, but Luna and Innus too. The three of you have made quite a name for yourselves remember?" Asami replies causing Innu and Luna to beam proudly.

"Okay, let's spar." I tell them while walking away from the wall we had gathered around. I see the others run back toward the entrance of the arena. They go up the stairs and appear in the stands. They sit down close by and I turn to Luna and Innu. I reach down and take out my claws and boots. I dig into the dirt until I find a stone. "Are you two ready?" I ask them causing them each to nod.

"Yes!" Innu says while Luna howls. I toss the rock into the air and draw my weapons.

"Remember, no Spatial or binding magics!" Luna says firmly. I nod before the rock hits the ground. Innu rushes me as Luna casts Ancient Beast Roar. She gathers a ball of dark brown energy around her mouth. Innu opens her mouth and breathes fire at me. The flames engulf me, but don't burn me thanks to my Fire Immunity. She's blinding me? But why? I think before jumping out of the flames. I start looking around for Innu while keeping an eye on Luna. Her Roar needs time to charge but has a wide blast radius so I need to be ready. I can't find Innu anywhere, so I take out my wings to fly. As soon as I do, Innu jumps out of the fire that's been raging under me. She's using her wings to fly up next to me. She swings her blade at me as I beat my wings to move back. Something snags my foot and I look down. A rope made of fire has wrapped around my leg from the flames under us. I raise my weapons to block her blade. She slams her sword down on me causing me to fall back into the ball of fire. I sense Luna launch her attack outside of the flames. I try to move, but the flames tighten and press down on me. It feels like I'm wrapped in duct tape, unable to move a single muscle. I smile before casting Annihilation Energy and making it surround me. It destroys the flames and acts as a shield against Lunas Roar. It still explodes, but it doesn't break my Energy. I make it disperse once her attack is over. I see Innu and Luna standing next to one another. Luna's pouting and Innu looks sad.

"It didn't work." Luna says before sighing and running at me. Innu follows after her and I raise my dagger. I cast Hydra and make two of the heads lunge for them. Innu dodges hers but Luna can't. She gets trapped in the head, but I make sure not to hurt her. It lifts her up before tossing her at Innu. Innu dodges another bite from the head, but can't dodge Luna.

The two of them go tumbling into the dirt. I make Hydra disappear before casting Flame Kings Explosion. I make the Explosion happen in the air a few feet away from them. A ball of red fire appears in a flash as the two of them get up. Luna reacts quickly by casting Ancient Beast Slash. She sends it to the fire as it explodes. A mass of dark red flames burst forth tearing and burning the ground. The only place left untouched is where Luna and Innu are. The Slash stopped the Explosion from reaching them by acting as a wall. I look at Innu and Luna and get an idea. I cast Annihilation Energy and make it envelop my blades, boots, and claws. I rush them as they ready themselves. Luna casts another Ancient Beast Slash and sends it at me. I cut through it with my Katana and smile. Good, as I hoped I can cut through spells like butter with Annihilation Energy on my blades. The same for my boots and claws. I think as I reach them. Luna lunges for me and tries to cut my chest with one of her claws. I block with my Dagger as Innu swings her sword. I block hers with my Katana and we press against each other. None of us give the other any ground. Luna raises her free hand. She goes for my hand as I cast Dark Energy. I make a hand appear from my shadow beneath us. It grabs her wrist before she reaches me. I make two humanoids raise from the shadow. They each push the girls back quite a bit. I'm surprised at the strength they have. They get out of the shadow and step forward. Their bodies are smooth and pitch black, and they have no weapons.

"Master, what spell is this?" Innu asks while readying her blade. The two of them have never seen me use a spell in this manner before. Until I saw Abigal, I wouldn't have thought of using this spell this way.

"It's Dark Energy. I'm still testing it out so I hope you'll help." I say with a mischievous smile before pointing at them. The two shadow people rush forward at a fast pace. They move faster than the flame tigers I made earlier could ever go.
