"Yah!" You slap the steed hard. He neighs, reers up, and bolts into the trees. Two of the spiders leap away after him. May he fare better than you're about to.

Nearly as one, the giant spiders pounce on you. You spin the holy blade around you in a great arc, cleaving through chitinous limbs, ichor spraying onto and around you. The action is too frenetic to know how many you wounded in that first attack, but the creatures are relentless and they're upon you again before you can even recover. There are simply too many angles for you to cover, and you quickly feel the bites piercing your flesh.

You fight on. The wounds burn, but you might have a few precious seconds before the poison steals your strength. Your sword arm is trapped beneath the bulk of an arachnid, so you draw your limbs together, and try to just shake them off. It's no use - their bodies are wrapped around you. In desperation, you fling yourself toward the nearest tree, hoping to smash one or two of them to pulp. There's a sickening crunch, maybe you were successful? It's still impossible to tell.

More bites. You feel like you should be dropping already. Maybe your daemonic metabolism is helping to fight off the venom? You don't think it matters at this point. You try to kick out, but your legs aren't moving correctly. It's not the venom stealing your mobility, you finally realize... the spiders are wrapping up your body in webbing.

"Noo! Damn you!" Your cries are meaningless. You finally fall under the weight of the creatures and do the only thing you can at this point - you pull the sword close to your body and wrap your fingers around the hilt in a **** grip.

Whether a curse or blessing, it takes far longer than it should before the spider venom claims you. You can feel yourself being fully wrapped up, head to toe, and then dragged up off the ground and into the trees. You're left hanging, how high up you have no idea, but you can feel your body swaying among the branches. The last thing you hear before the poison robs your consciousness is the sound of flesh slapping against flesh and Indra begging for the Ettercap to fuck her harder...
