See you after the round!

“That’s great,” you reply to John.

“I’ll catch you after the round!” “Hit’em straight, Ryan,” he quips as you walk out the door. You grab your bag, throw it on the closest cart and speed toward the 1st tee box.

As you pull up to the tee box, you see the young man taking a couple of practice swings while his partner sits in their cart, looking at her phone. You hop out of your cart and walk up to the tee box. “Hello. John told me to join you guys to beat the scramble. Do you mind if I join you two?” you ask the young man.

“You are more than welcome to join us,” he responds.

“Excellent! My name is Ryan,” you say before walking back toward your cart to grab a ball and your driver. As you return to the tee box, he introduces himself.

“I’m Matt and this is my fiancé, Melanie,” he says, nodding toward his cart where she is sitting.

You look over toward the cart and she gives you a little wave and smile and says, “Hello!”

You return your attention to Matt and say, “Looks like the fairway is clear. The tee box is all yours.” You then step back and allow him to tee up his ball. Matt steps back, takes a quick practice swing before addressing his ball and proceeding to bomb a nice high draw down the left side of the fairway. “Nice shot, Matt. That will be a tough act to follow,” you say as he picks up his tee and walks toward the back of the tee box.

“Thanks, Ryan! I’ll take it for the first shot of the day,” he says, smiling.

It’s your turn now. You step up to the markers, push your tee in the ground and place your ball upon the tee. You step back, line up your shot then address the ball. You swing and split the fairway, though it appears Matt outdrove you by a solid 15 yards. “Not too shabby for the first swing in a month,” you think to yourself.

As you walk back toward your cart Melanie calls out, “Nice shot, Ryan!” smiling at you as they take off toward the ladies tee box.

When they arrive, she gets out of the cart and grabs her driver. As she walks toward the tee box, you finally notice her sexy, white golf skirt and tight light pink polo that hugs her perky breasts perfectly. “Damn!” you think think to yourself, “nothing sexier than an attractive woman that likes to golf.” You can’t help but see her pink thong as she bends over, possibly a little too long, to tee up her ball. As she walks back to line up her shot, you notice her make eye contact and shoot you a sly smile. “Did she catch me looking?” you ask yourself, “did she like me looking?” She proceeds to approach her ball, take a slow but smooth swing and hit a fade that lands about five yards to the right of your drive.

“Great shot Melanie!” you say to her.

“Thanks, Ryan!” she replies, “looks like we should be riding together if we are going to play cart golf all day,” she says jokingly. With that the round is officially underway and you take off toward your ball.

As the round progresses you continue to chat with both Matt and Melanie. You learn that they were both competitive golfers in college. Matt played for a small private school in Florida. Melanie played locally at State and was actually quite successful. You don’t recall reading about her in the papers but then again, you didn’t really follow Woman’s college golf too closely.

You finish the ninth hole and begin walking toward your carts. Before getting in the cart, you offer to buy a round of drinks at the turn.
