Chapter 7 by zankoo zankoo

Do you want a fashion show, or skip to the end of the day?

See the first outfit!

At about 4:30, Jake arrived at the conference room to meet Abbie. She had gotten there before him, and had already spread out a bunch of her options on the large table. There were floor-to-ceiling windows separating the conference room from the rest of the office complex, and Abbie had lowered the blinds to cover most of the windows. Most, because the bottom third of the window (about three feet) was not covered by the blinds. They just weren't long enough.

"Jake, I know we're not really a couple or anything like that," Abbie said with a faint blend of apology and disappointment in her voice. "But for this weekend, you're going to have to take on some quasi-boyfriend responsibilities. Besides, you said it would probably be best if the other people at the wedding assumed we were dating."

Jake smiled. "Whatever you say, Abbie." He didn't care about couples or boyfriends -- he had a weekend with Abbie. What else could he want in the world?

"I have several dresses I need to try on for you. Remember, this is like for dinners, parties, the ceremony, and so on. I have to have options." Abbie picked up the first dress, which was light green. "This is for the day we arrive. What if we meet up with anyone from your family and need to go get lunch or something?"

As she spoke, she started to get undressed. She scowled at Jake and said, "Come on, don't watch," to which Jake laughed.

"Seriously? After what we've done together, don't watch? I can't believe I have to look away ... or ask permission."

Abbie was a little annoyed. "Jake, I've told you before that I live my life based on the idea of kindness. Now you either appreciate what I want, or be a civil and reasonable man and ask for what you need."

Jake smiled. "You're right. I'll look away, for now."

He turned his head toward the conference room door (which was closed), and glanced out what he could see from the bottom tier of window panes. There were still some shoes walking by -- it wasn't 5:00 yet, so most people were still on the clock.

Abbie changed behind him. She pulled off her work attire (silk blouse, blazer, slacks, simple shoes), and slipped the green dress on. It was a fairly simple cut, straight down, and clung to Abbie's figure. She looked at Jake and cleared her throat.

"So what do you think of the first option?"

Jake turned around. She looked stunning in the dress. "Wow, that looks great, Abbie." His eyes were drawn to Abbie's bare feet -- small and delicate, with a perfect arch and slender toes adorned with a fresh pedicure. He imagined running his hands along her ankles and calves, starting at those pretty feet. Jake lifted his gaze back up to Abbie's face to find that she was looking back at him quizzically.

"Something catch your eye?" she said flirtatiously.

Jake smirked. "Going barefoot with this look?"

"It wasn't the plan, but I could!" Abbie giggled, wiggling her toes. "I just didn't want to make noise clomping around in heels while people are still working. I'll put on some strappy sandals with this. What do you think of the dress itself?"

Jake took in the full effect of the light green dress clinging to Abbie's curves. "It's perfect for a casual lunch or afternoon outing. Classy but not overly formal. You look amazing in it."

Abbie smiled. "These are the shoes I picked out." She picked up a pair of wedges with open toes and leather straps for the ankle.

"Mm, nice -- would you turn profile to put them on?"

Abbie gave him a sexy bit of side-eye. "Of course, Jake." She turned profile to him, and bent down to step into the shoes. As she bent forward, the material of the dress stretched around her ass, giving Jake a look he loved.

Jake watched intently as Abbie slipped her feet into the wedge sandals, admiring the graceful curve of her calves and the delicate bones of her ankles. Her toes flexed as she adjusted the straps, and Jake found himself mesmerized by the simple yet sensual movements. Again, he imagined running his hands up her legs, starting at those pretty feet and slowly working his way higher. The thought sent a shiver of desire through him.

As Abbie straightened up, Jake's gaze traveled to her shapely backside. The light green fabric clung enticingly to her curves, accentuating the round fullness of her ass. Jake's mouth went dry as he appreciated the view. His eyes traced the line of her underwear beneath the dress, the faint outline somehow more tantalizing than if she'd been bare underneath. At the same time, he knew those lines would detract from the polished look Abbie was going for.

"It all looks amazing. But I can see all the seams and lines of your underwear. Don't you want to avoid that?"

Abbie looked at him. "You're right, Jake. I think if I kept this dress, I would have to reconsider the underwear."

"Reconsider?" Jake teased her with the word. "You'd have to reconsider it?"

Abbie laughed, and rolled her eyes a little. "I know! I would reconsider it and then confidently decide to not wear any. Is that better?"

Jake smiled at her. "Let's see the next option."

More of the fashion show, or skip to the end of the day?
