Secrets Revealed

"What do you mean you can't recognize it?" Hino asks Liz.

"Exactly what it sounds like, I've never in my 19 years as a Sensor, seen any magic like that. It looks similar to the Dark School but it's not." Liz replies smiling at my suffering.

"Okay, first of all remind me to never piss you off again." I tell Liz. "Secondly its called the Darkness School of magic, and do any of you know how I can remove these?" I say holding my arms, well claws up. There's more silence and I almost exit to my Domain.

"Okay, Eric while we are on the subject of discovery, is their anything else we should know." Kallen asks.

"Maybe? But first off I didn't mean to hide this, I just got it this morning. And secondly I still don't know much about your guilds so I wanted to keep some things hidden. I'm sure you're doing the same. But yes, I do still have some things hidden from you. Nothing to bad though." I say trying not to let my panic and fear show. Liz starts laughing and hitting the table.

"you know, your mana displays your emotions!" She says while laughing.

"Eric is right though." Myla says. "We've been keeping secrets from him."

"And he did save us, and you mom." Hino adds.

"They're right y'know." Sugano agrees. "If Eric hadn't fought off the Golden Devil I would've died, maybe even all of us. Besides that, he already saved them once before at their school."

"Yeah, and we were the fools for assuming that the Golden Devil and the Katorg guild's second in command just found them in the natural Dungeon. We should've been on guard with it having been inside the school. If only Ted stayed to talk." Kagiyama adds.

"Wait the one at the school was natural? And what was that about Ted?" I ask confused.

"Yes, why? And we had Ted in captivity to question but he took himself out before answering anything." Liz asks.

"I see, and when I entered the Dungeon my powers told me it was named Katorg's hunting ground." I reply.

"What? what do you mean?" Kallen asks. I sigh and explain how my powers work. How its similar to a video game.

"Eric, are you still wanting to enter a pact with us?" Kallen asks.

"Huh? What about the secrets and my unique abilities?" I ask.

"Those are things we'll learn later, and truthfully they don't matter for now. You saved our daughters twice, even going face to face with the Golden Devil so we trust you." Sugano says reassuringly.

"So what exactly is a pact?" I ask her.

"A pact is a magical contract created by yours truly! I use my awesome Sensor powers to manipulate the magic in the air to create a contact That'll know if one party breaks it. It can also be made to kill the offender, but that's a rarity. Liz says.

"Okay, so it'd be a contract where we'll know if the other breaks it. What'll be on it?" I ask.

"Just usual guild stuff. One to ensure you don't plan or act to harm the other. To not tell others of any guild secrets learned. In this case this would cover your powers. And to ensure aid in the case with the Katorg guild." Sugano says.

"Okay how do we do it?" I ask. Liz starts laughing at the unintentional innuendo.

"Here we just sign this then Liz will work her magic." Kallen says pulling out a piece of parchment. Kagiyama pulls out another one. They both hand them to me. I read them each and the both say the same. That my guild, the Steele Wolfs will aid the Silver Garden/Blue Locus guild in the investigation of the Katorg guild. That I or my guild wont harm them or tell anyone else about any possible secrets I learn. It also mentions that they act as witnesses for my guilds creation. I reread it and get an idea.

"What happens if I want to add a guild member? Would I have to inform you? And what does this witness thing do?" I ask.

"No." Sugano says. "If you want to add or remove guild members you don't need to inform us or anything like that. Although we wouldn't complain. Unlike us you're guild only has you so it'll be nice to know what they'll be doing. It'll also let us know what plans you have for your guild after we're done with Katorg. And the witnesses thing is more formality. It essentially means that we recognize you as a new guild and that we approve of it. But why did you ask about members?"

"Ill get to that." I say setting down the pen they handed me. "What are the rights to beast men?"

"That's... Complex, and unexpected." Kagiyama says. "But they are mostly treated as below humans. Given little rights themselves. This is due to the Lyna having treated them as slaves for hundreds of years. It was only recently that they started to gain freedom. In fact our two guilds were among the first to hire them. All beast men are magical though. I should've started with this, sorry. Anyway due to that and their magic they were used as well, walking mana batteries or battle slaves. That's how their slavery started. Anyway we hire them for pretty much everything, from labor to fighting. Now why are you asking?"

"Good, now could you wait here a few minutes please? Ill try to hurry." I say before entering my domain.
