Second floor

Wary of going too far in the unpredictable lift Leanne chose the nearest option. Pushing the button and waiting anxiously to begin her descent. Slowly the lift started to move. Guiding down with a worrying metallic squeal.

She soon came to a halt and the doors slid open. Revealing another long corridor only darker than those she had previously visited. She stepped out nervously and looked in both directions. There was no sign of life. The hallway eerily still. Suddenly there was a piercing shriek that made Leanne jump with fright. It seemed to come from her right but there was no indication who had made it or where they were.

She peered through the gloom. Did she really want to know what was happening? Maybe she should just head in the opposite direction.
