“We have to find her!” Liara shouted as everyone scoured the rubble leftover from the crucible. “At least find her body. She has to… she has to… GODDESS DAMN IT!”
The squadmates did their best to comfort Liara who was trying her best not to cry. The only body that had been unaccounted for was Shepard’s. They had been looking for hours trying to find any sign.
“Wait!” Ashley yelled. “Over here! I see something! Oh my God! She’s breathing! Liara! Shepard’s breathing! She’s alive.”
Liara raced over. She was horrified to see Shepard’s armor was badly damaged and she was currently being crushed by a large piece of what seemed to be the remnants of the Crucible. Or a building. The squadmates all worked to push the rubble off. “Get her to the hospital! NOW!” Liara shouted.
The medics who were with them immediately raced her off the battlefield heading straight for the emergency hospital that had been setup by Chakwas and Michel as well as a few other salarians and asari doctors. They were tasked to treating all the wounded soldiers found.
Liara could barely comprehend that they had found Shepard. She just prayed they had enough time to save her life.
