Search the jewelry items

Of all the types of treasure, it seems there is the most intact among the many jewelry boxes, neck displays, and ring racks. There are so many amulets and rings of minor magic that you lose track. Some glow, some feel warm against your fingers, others pulse with energy and beckon you to slip them on. There are plain gold items, items made from exotic metals, and items decorated with many valuable gems.

You regret that you are only a peasant girl with not much taste for the finer things like these exquisite necklaces. You focus your search on items of unusual magical properties and you discover two that seem interesting.

The first item is a paired set. Two black velvet gloves of a feminine design and a cut that reaches past your elbows. These gloves seem at first look to be smoking, but it is black shadow stuff that drifts lazily up from the gloved fingers. A crystal is included in the glove case and when you touch this you experience psychic vision of the gloves being used by a raven-haired woman with pale skin and a cruel face. She moves her gloved fingers like someone playing a lute and in response black tendrils burst from the shadows around her and extend to seize attacking enemies. The tendrils tear the attackers - orcs - limb from limb.

A gauzy view shows the same woman, now nude but for the gloves, and stroking in mid-air as the tendrils hold her up and stroke her and push in and out of her pink slit. You gasp at such a strange vision and step back from the gloves, yet you are intrigued by their power.

On a ring stand you discover an item that you actually know of, at least by legend. By the design of its band and the odd green gem you know it is what is known as a Monoshift Ring. Tne elder in your village was said to have one bound to the form of an ogre and whenever he willed it the ring would transform him into a mighty ogre. He used this ring many times to help in constructing buildings or fighting off bandits, but ultimately it was stolen from him. There were tales of other Monoshift rings that allowed the wearer to transform into a bird or a goblin or even the form of a specific person.

Studying the ring you have no idea what or who it might allow you to shift into, but you know this could be a powerful tool for many reasons.
