Search for traps!

“We should search for traps, right?” You suggest as you look up at the door. It’s so big… everything feels so big now. “Hey, aren’t halflings meant to be good at looking for traps?”

“I think that’s theives. And maybe dwarves,” Bill gurgled, mouth tentacles moving weirdly.

“Well… I’m looking,” you say as you examine the door closely. Down low there us a weird bit of wire hooked into the side of the door. “I think thats’s a trip wire…” you mutter as you grip the wire and wriggle it out of the door and then tug on it. A moment later you hear a thud and see a dart point sticking out of the closed door, the end dripping nanite solution.

“Its a trap!” Bill says and you giggle.

“Your voice sounds very Admiral Ackbar with those mouth tentacles…” Luke says as he pushes open the door.

Beyond is a twenty foot by twenty foot room with high ceilings. In the middle stands a large statue of a naked woman and man kissing. There are books lining all four walls with a ladder on wheels that allows access to the high shelves on only the far wall.

To the left is reading desk with drawers covered with scrolls, a quill, an ink well and an assortment of potions. The desk is crowded by book shelves. Above the desk and book shelves is a moldering mounted deer head. It’s kinda creepy looking.

To the right is an iron maiden. “Iron Maiden! Excellent!” Bill says.

The room is illuminated by a candelabra, a rope tied to the wall by the door and a pulley that would allow the candelabra to be lowered and raised. If the statue were not there.

You stare into the room uncertainly.

“So are we gonna fuck or what?” Melony asks.
