Scout the area, just in case

John decides caution has gotten him this far, and a bit more wouldn't hurt. He spots a nearby tree and begins to quickly scale the tree to get a better view of the surrounding area. As he gets to the top, he can only see for about a mile before the surrounding forest and its tree obscures his views. The important thing is that he can see the field in front of him and the entire cache of supplies.

Not to his huge surprise, he can easily make out what appears to be a rather tall woman hiding amongst the supplies awaiting her next prey. That would have likely been the end for poor John had he just rushed in.

It became clear that he would need to devise a quick plan to lure the woman out of the supplies long enough to grab supplies and make himself scarce. He noticed the tree he had climbed had borne some unripe tree nut fruits. It looked similar to coconuts but was about softball sized. He gathered a handful of these fruits and prepped his plan.
