School Tough Chick

Brianne Stuart was 18 and in her last semester of high school. She was a D+ student and had been suspended four times in her high school career. Twice for fighting, once for cursing at a teacher, and once for bullying, but that was the only time she had ever been caught bullying. She was a terror at school.

Brianne was gruff, sarcastic, & profane. She came from a lower middle-class home. Her dad was a roofer, and her mom worked nights as an LPN, and neither had much success trying to straighten out their daughter.

One Friday morning as Brianne left for school, she found a small box on her front porch. The box was wrapped in black wrapping paper and had her name written on it in silver ink. She opened the box to find a red garnet stone in a silver ring. She looked around, shrugged, and slipped the ring on. She lit up a cigarette and headed on her mile walk to school, cursing the fact her parents could not afford to buy her a car.
