The Duke's faithfulness to the Duchess was the stuff of romance novels, but for a noble, that meant that when he took a lover, they were the Duchess' too. Nimona never realized she could feel this way toward another woman until the Duchess brought her to her bed one night and went down on her, making love to her in ways she didn't know the human body could experience.

It had not gone unnoticed that Nimona had become Lord and Lady Claes's "favorite" in recent years. While Maria wasn't exactly thrilled to know that her mother was "active", especially to the parents of the woman she herself had fallen for, she was happy that her mother had found love again. Lord and Lady Claes made her mother smile in ways she hadn't seen since before her father left.
