Chapter 157 by Dandyman Dandyman

Ellanor POV

Saving the woman from a goblin’s fate

The goblin laid dead before Fen, his great-axe had sunken into the creature and killed it. Fen retracted his weapons’s axe-head out of the goblin with ease. I admired how his muscles flexed, and the blood that clung to his fur reminded me of our first meeting.

The woman lay motionless in the middle of the cavern, having been assaulted by the goblin. It was a shame we couldn’t come quicker, but now she was safe.

Fen approached the woman tied to the rocky ground, when she saw him coming closer, she flinched.

He grabbed the chain around her, and pulled with all his might. I became aroused at seeing his muscles bulge and tense, as the rings of the chain bent and snapped apart from his godlike strength.

The broken chain lay decimated on the floor, the woman looked up at my wolvir king and mate. She appeared to be worried, and despite the grime and filth upon her, she was a pretty young thing.

“We have saved you.” Fen rumbled low in his throat.

It took some time to convince her that we were not there to physically harm her, and she accepted my arm for support out of the caverns. I found a sheet to wrap her up, shielding her dignity.

The woman trembled against my side as we guided her toward the cavern’s exit, her bare feet shuffling over the uneven stone.

“Where are you taking me?” She whispered, her voice raw.

I squeezed her shoulder gently, careful not to startle her. “Somewhere safe. Just a little farther. What’s your name?”

“Aurla.” She told me, her voice still shaky.

We saw the light of the sun beam into the entrance of the cavern, helping signal to us that our exit was close at hand. Fen led the charge, using his senses to pick up any threat that may come upon us. We were fortunate not to come across anything.

Aurla was relieve when she saw the light of day, and I explained to her our happenstance at being in the goblin cave. She was thankful that we rescued her, and she cried when she told me about what happened to her.

I wiped her tears, ensuring her that no goblin would do that to her ever again.

She was frightened at first with Fen, as most in her situation would when coming across a mighty wolvir. But as we travelled on, she became less on edge, and was able to walk more on her own.

“Elle.” Fen said to me over his shoulder. “I think we need a wash.” He smiled at me devilishly, making his intentions clear.

“Do you know a spot?” I asked him.

“I’ve caught a whiff of something that way.” He pointed to his left, towards some trees. “I’m certain it’s a waterfall. What do you say?”

I looked at the woman called Aurla, she could definitely do with a wash too. Then I stared at the hulking and sexy form of Fen, and got wet at remembering our first time together.

“I say we need to get out of these dirty clothes and get clean.” I flirtatiously suggested.

Fen smirked, knowing all too well what this meant.
