Saturdays For Souls

I wake up and sit up. I see Ramia still sleeping but the others are already up. I leave and don't see anyone in the main room, so I enter my blacksmith workshop. I place my Ancient Beast Katana on the wall before leaving. I go outside and see Innu and Luna sparing. Innu's using her new sword and they each have their new armor on. Asami's standing next to the door, watching.

"Master! Good morning." She says happily while hugging me.

"Morning Asami. Do you know if Verona's back yet?" I ask and she nods.

"She and Gaia went up to your crafting workshop." She replies and I thank her. I turn around and enter the cabin. I walk upstairs and knock on the door. Gaia opens it after a moment and gestures for me to enter.

"Good morning Eric." She says while I enter. I look around but don't see Verona.

"Morning, where's Verona at? Asami said she was here." I ask and she nods.

"She was, but you just missed her. She went back to her Domain for a bit. What did you need her for?"

"I was going to ask for my katana. I let her have it yesterday." I say and Gaia chuckles before walking over to the table.

"Fortunately for you, she left it here. She stayed up all night researching this and the Silver Vine." Gaia says and I nod. "Are you heading out?" She asks after handing me the katana.

"Yeah, I want to finish gathering Bergeths Soul today. That way I have a few days to deal with whatever trouble he causes before going back to school." I say and she chuckles.

"Don't worry, I've met the wolf once before. I'll help where I can." She says and I nod before equipping the katana and leaving for my apartment. Gaia lets out a sigh before closing the door and turning around. "Verona, you can come out now." She says before a breeze fills the room. Verona appears in the center of the room, engulfed in a raging vortex. The wind quickly dies down and Verona steps forward. "Are you convinced yet?"

"No. He has all that power, yet he's still so nice and doesn't try to use people. He even treats beast men, who are still treated as slaves by some guilds, as equals." Verona says and Gaia sighs.

That's just the way he is Verona. He did have great parents, they raised him with love and care." Gaia tells her and Verona shakes her head.

"Until they died, then he was alone. That's when evil creeps into people."

"Verona!" Gaia shouts and Verona flinches. She sighs before petting her. "Sorry, Verona. I know you're just worried. But I keep telling you, Eric isn't like him. Okay?" Gaia says and Verona sighs.

"Fine, I'll trust you. But I'm still keeping an eye on him." She says and Gaia sighs.

I appear in my apartment and leave. I get on my motorcycle and focus on Bergeth. I drive toward the feeling and end up at an apartment complex. I walk up to the entrance and see it has a lock. I sigh and walk around the building. Fortunately, no one's outside now, so there's no one who could see me. I find the spot at the back. It's inside, but it's close enough to get to while outside. I lean against the wall and cast Enter Dungeon. I appear in the same forest as the rest. I start walking toward the cave and keep an ear out for anything. I get to the cave without incident and enter. I follow the path to the room with the stone door. In the room is a large sleeping wolf. It's curled up and has red fur with patches of black running through it. It has a single tail and is at least as big as me. Its back is facing me and I Observe it while taking out my Boots, Claws, and Horns.

It's a Magic Beast? So it'll probably use spells then. I think before drawing my Silver Vine Katana. I step forward and the Wolf doesn't wake up. I slowly creep forward and get right next to it. I raise my Katana and bring it down, cutting deep into its back.

The Wolf jumps up and springs forward, putting some distance between us. It turns around and opens its jaws. A ball of dark red energy immediately forms. It turns into a spear and launches at me. I Multicast Dark Spear and send them forward. One of mine destroyed his, and breaks from the impact. The other two hit the Wolf on its front legs.

The Wolf howls and gets engulfed in dark red energy. I Multicast two more Dark Spears. The wolf runs forward to bite the spears. I cast Mana Bind and bind its jaw shut. The spears connect with its body. One hits its head, and the other hit its side.

I pick up and Observe the small ring.

Bloody Ring Lvl 55, Epic

This ring is made of Enchanted Iron. The ring was engraved with a few Runes for Strength. However, the ring got stuck to the coat of a Blood Wolf. It then got soaked in the Wolf's magic and the blood of its victims. It gives its wearer +10 STR and a 10% Damage boost to all Blood Magic spells.

I sigh while reading it before storing it away. It's not the worst, but I won't use it. Now let's get that soul! I think while opening the stone door. I enter the room and find the wolf statue and the small wooden chest. I open the chest and Observe the contents.

Varak's Dagger Lvl 75, Legendary

Varak was one of the Lyna who slayed Bergeth. He had this dagger forged with the scales of a Fire Dragon he slayed. It's tough, durable, and contains the magic of the dragon. It deals 600-650 Damage per attack. Hidden Properties: The Fire Dragons scales give the wielder +10 STR and +15 INT.

I take the Dagger and Bloody Ring out. I scan them with my L-Market Device. I sell them both for 45,500$. I break the statue and collect the Soul Fragment. Only 2 left. While I'd like to gather the materials here, I should get Bergeth first. I think before leaving. I walk back to my bike, and drive off. I follow the pulling sensation and quickly arrive at an abandoned parking lot. I get off and store the bike away, just in case, before casting Enter Dungeon.
