Chapter 356 by voidcaller17
Now What?
Saturday
I wake up and slowly sit up. The numbness in my body is mostly gone, but it's still very sore. I see Asami sitting at the foot of the bed. She's noticed me and is setting a book down.
"Good morning Master." She says while walking over.
"Good morning Asami." I reply while she grabs a cup from the nightstand. I see it's the same sparkling potion that Ramia made. I sigh as she hands it to me before drinking it. I don't gag this time, since I know what it tastes like now. Asami gives me a cup of water and I drink it. "Thanks, where are the others?" I ask her while she takes the cups and sets them on the nightstand.
"Ramia is at the farm. She's tending to the plants. Luna, Innu, and Liz are at the Guild Hall. There dropping off the first set of furniture today."
"The first set?"
"Since we got so much, I split the deliveries over two days. Today and tomorrow. We should get mostly chairs, tables, and a few beds for the temporary dorms on the third floor today." Asami replies before I scooch over to the edge of the bed and get up. Asami helps me and makes sure I'm stable. "Are you sure you can walk on your own?" She asks worriedly and I nod. She lets go and we walk out of the bedroom.
"Good morning, how are you feeling?" Verona asks once we go through the door.
"Better, the numbness is almost gone. I just feel sore all over." I reply while sitting down at the table across from her. Gaia is sitting next to her.
"Is now a good time to talk about the Primal Source?" Gaia asks and I see Verona nodding in agreement.
"Yeah, what do you want to know?" I ask causing Verona's eye to start to sparkle.
"How old is he? The Primal Source or Prisma as you call him?" Verona asks, using her magic to stop her eye from sparkling.
"I'm not sure? Definitely older than you. He's the one who ascended you into Gods. Magic came from him and he's the one who turns normal humans into Lyna. You should've gotten my memory of this conversation with him." I say while Asami appears with a plate of food. I thank her before I start to eat. I check the time and see it's nearly 10 AM.
"Yeah, we did. We just didn't get a memory about his age." Gaia replies.
"How often do you visit him?" Verona asks and I think it over.
"Not too much. Just whenever I have questions for him or if he calls me." I reply.
"Can others talk to Prisma too?"
"I think you have to drink the water from the Source. It created a link between me and Prisma. That's how he talks to me. At least I think, I've never actually asked him about it before." I reply causing Verona to sigh.
"Who's Ayashi then? In your memories, you and Prisma talked about her before. And you asked Asami to not show us memories about her." Gaia asks and I sigh.
"Yeah, I didn't want to overload you with too much information. She's the Mythos Queen and is trying to unite the Lyna and Human worlds." I say causing Verona's eye to sparkle as the three press their hands against their ears. "Sorry, it slipped my mind. She's the Queen of my race."
"What do you mean unite?" Verona asks and Asami puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Do you want me to show them?" She asks.
"Yes, please. It'll save time not needing to explain it." I say and she nods. Asami takes both Verona's and Gaia's hands. She shares the memories I have of Ayashi. But she doesn't share the memories of me meeting her outside the Guild Hall or what I learned during our talk. After all, that happened after I shared my memories with her.
"That's how strong a true My-member of your race is? That's crazy." Verona says.
"Yeah, but she's the Queen, remember? According to her, the Queen was the strongest one in the village. So she was the strongest they had." I reply and she nods, still taking it all in.
"Do you know how she's planning on uniting the Lyna and Human worlds?" Gaia asks and I nod. I explain a quickly summarize her plan to become president. Then to introduce my Guild and magic to the world. I tell them about her Soul-Skill and how she can manipulate normal people with it.
"That's a reckless plan." Verona says with a sigh once I finish. Gaia nods in agreement and I sigh myself.
"I know. That's why Prisma and I want to stop her. The problem is figuring out how. I'd rather not kill her. She has good intentions, at least according to Prisma. But she's been working on this for hundreds of years. She won't just back down if I ask nicely." I say and Verona nods.
"Eric, are you opposed to the plan? To unite the worlds?" Verona asks me.
"Yes and no." I say after a moment of thinking. "It does sound nice. And there are a lot of benefits, both to the human and Lyna. Like making it easier to get to Dungeons and using Alchemy to advance medicine. But there's way too much risk. There could be another war to decide who gets the rights to the Primal Source if they discover it. Not to mention the fact that if another war happens, then the Lyna would join in. There'd be a lot more **** if the Lyna join any war." I say and she nods.
"But are you willing to help Ayashi see the plan through?" Verona asks, confusing me.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I might have a plan to stop her. But I need to know what your answer is first." Verona replies and Gaia looks at her confused herself.
"I guess? If I can't stop her, I'd rather help her and try to find or create something to hide Prisma from the world." I say causing Verona to nod and smile. "Now what's this plan?"
Well? What Is It?
