Sarah and Carolyn got off the ride to get their belonging from the cubbies, Carolyn's bare feet getting a pedicure from the concrete.
"Excuse me," Carolyn asked a staff member as she got her fanny pack out of her cubby, "my shoes fell off during the ride, could you go get them for me?"
"Sure ma'am," the employee said, "can you describe them for me?"
Before Carolyn could answer, Sarah pulled her away and told the staff member "Oh, that's just my friend Carolyn. She's more comfortable when she's not wearing so many clothes, so she must have just slipped her shoes off on the ride."
Before Carolyn could protest, the employee said "oh, okay," and turned and walked away.
"Sarah!" Carolyn hissed at her friend as they were walking down the stairs off the ride, "I need my shoes!"
"You don't 'need' any of your clothes," Sarah corrected her, "least of all your shoes."
