Sarah returns that night

It was almost midnight when Renee's friends dropped Sarah back off at home. You had waited up anxiously for her, concerned about how her night had gone.

Sarah was in a great mood when she walked in. You were shocked to see that your hypnotic suggestions had held up - she was still acting like Renee. You gave her the command to go back into a trance and quickly returned her to herself. Her mood remained buoyant. "Wow, I can't believe that worked! I actually thought I was Renee the whole time. The girls never suspected a thing," she exclaimed.

You chuckled. "Well, why would they. Physically you ARE Renee, their friend - not her mother."

She rolled her eyes at you. "You know what I mean. I pulled it off! Now I'm not so worried about school next week. You can just hypnotize me each day !"

"Whoah!" you countered. "I'm not sure that's such a good idea. Hypnotizing you to think you're a different person - the same person, every day? I don't know what that might do, especially under these circumstances..."

She frowned. "What 'circumstances'? You mean that fact that I'm in Renee's body? That's exactly why I need this!" She took your hands in hers. "It's not forever. Just at first, to get me by. I really need you to do this for me! Otherwise I don't know how I can survive pretending to be Renee all day, every day, surrounded by people who know her."

The desperation in her voice and eyes tore away at your ****. You sighed. "Okay, I should set up a trigger to easily switch you back to 'Renee' then. That way we won't have to go through the whole process each time."

Sarah gave a small jump of joy, embracing you, then giving you a kiss. "Thanks James! You're the greatest!" She then pulled you into the bedroom to 'celebrate', explaining that the evening of dancing had made her surprisingly horny. Though you felt weird, with Sarah dressed and seeming so much like the real Renee, you couldn't deny how attractive she looked. Even after her busy night, Sarah's youthful energy let her outlast you, and you dozed off within the hour.

The next few weeks flew by. Sarah spent the last few days of summer vacation continuing to immerse herself in the details of Renee's life. You were concerned at her almost obsessive behavior, but when you pressed her about it she dismissed your fears. She explained once more how critical it was for her to 'get everything right' since she was going to have to live as Renee. She even had to start calling her 'Renee' instead of 'Sarah' all the time, saying you both needed to get used to it. "We don't want to make any mistakes, so I should use Renee's name even in private," she explained.

She went out nearly every night with Renee's friends, asking you to use hypnosis to 'make her Renee' each time. Then once school started she had you do it every morning before she left. And while Sarah seemed to be adapting quite well, you were growing more confused and uncomfortable. She was so much into being Renee that you felt you were losing your Sarah. Even when she wasn't acting under the hypnotic suggestions, Sarah had started acting and speaking more and more like Renee. It was getting so difficult for you to discern the difference that several times you used the trigger to bring Sarah back only for her to look at you in confusion and laugh. "I am me, silly! I'm not hypnotized," she teased when she realized what you were trying to do.

Adding to the confusion was her hot-and-cold behavior toward you. Sometimes just like the old Renee, she would be very distant and almost cruel. At other times she would be very friendly and even affectionate. To your dismay, the differences in behavior did not always match with whether she was hypnotized or not! It made being intimate with her quite awkward - you became hesitate to initiate anything after some very harsh rejections. You instead just followed her lead which could vary significantly even on the same day. And it didn't help that she now wanted you to call her Renee even in those moments of intimacy.

You were starting to fear that the shock of being in her daughter's body, the experience of living as Renee day-to-day, her own obsessiveness, and the regular hypnosis were having a combined long-term effect on Sarah's personality. You had no idea what to do, and no one else to turn to. Should you confront Sarah about this, hopefully before things went too far?
