Samantha talks with Laura Jean and Caitlin at the Google office

You overhear Samantha talking with Laura Jean and Caitlin about the cost of having to buy a whole new wardrobe of maternity clothes.

“My belly isn’t big yet,” Samantha says to her two friends who have also recently shared that they too are pregnant, “but it’s all happening fast.” Samantha runs her hands over her small bump.

Laura Jean and Caitlin aren’t showing yet, but they are excited to be pregnant from seeing Samantha’s example. Laura Jean was planning on aborting your baby (it wouldn’t be her first abortion), but Samantha’s glow won her over and she decided to keep the baby even though she’d never know which of the guys she hooked up with knocked her up.

Caitlin is a big believer in reproductive rights as well, but getting an abortion never crossed her mind. That’s not what she wants for herself. She believes that the life growing in side of her is special. She just wishes she knew how it got there. She listens to Samantha talk about being touched by a spirit and she thinks that it’s more reasonable the more Samantha goes on.
