SMACK ATTACK

You absolutely slam {if@ Weapon == 2}your Sledgeaxe's blunt side{elseif Weapon == 1}{if TempBatonMissing == True}your last baton{else}one of your batons{endif} (turning off the electricity just before impact, for safety concerns){endif} across the side of Jace's cheek, and he is sent flying several metres through the air and across the room. As he's launched off of his feet, his crossbow slips from his hands and lands on the ground a good deal away from him. Ha!

You rush over to where he's landed to do it again, because it worked really well the other time. But when you get up to him.... how come he's not moving? He's lying on the ground at an awkward angle, limbs all sprawled out around him. He looks pretty dead. Did you kill him? Oh no, what if you killed him??

Still stooped over him, you use your foot to roll him over onto his back and look at his face. If he's doing a trick right now, that would be really mean, but it looks like he's actually being for real. The good news is that it looks like he's still breathing right now, just sleeping. Okay, umm.... fight's over! And hey, you won!

You give yourself a half second celebration dance before focusing back on the matter at hand. Should you.... yeah, you should probably just try to wake him up somehow. H-hopefully he doesn't wake up with an erection too. That'd be bad.

You lightly slap at his face, kneeling down next to him. He's still asleep. Okay, you wind up a big slap and give that a try! Nothing. What else wakes people up? Alarm clocks? The sunrise? Roosters? You could try making rooster noises. Maybe it'd be better to drag him over to the nurse, or.... oh, hey, water wakes people up too, doesn't it?

Alright then! You drag him over to the edge of the pool and shove his head under the water. You hold him under there for a few seconds, so that he runs out of air. No, wait, is that for drowning someone? It could be for drowning someone. Oh man, now you're all unsure of yourself.

Luckily for you, it turns out that it's for both! Before you take him out of the water and reevaluate, his eyes shoot open inside the pool water and he starts thrashing around in your grip. Oh, good! You pull him back out and set him on the edge of the pool, smiling happily, as he heaves in air and rubs at his chlorinated eyes.

"Wh-" Jace pauses to cough out some pool water that'd gotten caught in his throat. "What in the actual world."

You explain the entire course of events to him. You take a bit of pride in detailing the attack that you did. When you've finished, he sighs deeply and lies back on the poolroom concrete.

"I-" He pauses again to hack up some pool water. You politely wait for him to finish. "Yeah, I should've seen that coming. Need to work on that." He rubs at his eyes again, then sits back up and smiles over to you. "But hey, go you! Good job, I just couldn't get a bead on you for that whole fight. You're awesome!"

You smile again, but you're also still a bit worried, so you decide to carry his crossbow and satchel for him when he eventually finishes shaking off the unconsciousness and feels ready to get up. You're all mixed up right now from feeling bad for winning but feeling good for winning, so you don't say much to him as he leads the both of you over to the nurse's office. Once there he turns to you with a smile, takes his crossbow and satchel back, and rubs the top of your head to try to cheer you up.

"Sorry about this. I'm sure Dellie's going to be really annoying to you. But that was a lot of fun, Debbie, and we'll totally do it again another time!"

You nod, and Jace goes into the nurse's office to make sure there's not anything more to worry about. You move your shoulders in a celebratory motion, but feel bad about it.
