Russia is one of the major countries in the Eastern European region of the world they're consisted of many different regions with a population of 150 million.

This is a semi-alt history meaning some of it is made up.

Russia still belives in communism and since they won WW3 they're allowed to keep it.

***History***

Russia's first inhabitints where slavs mainly Vikings who explored the baltic region, to find new lands.

Thor traveled to Russia in 983 he battled Gorr.

In 980 King Vladimir wanted to change Russia into a christian town however it never worked due to many people not beliving in the Christian ways they resumed to be a Pagan religion country.

During the Napoleon wars, the Russians protected their city from Napoleon, since the black plague happened in the Russisn mountains their was a chance of people catching the mutant X gene turning them into Proto-Mutants.

WW1 and WW2 outcomes where exactly the same.

However Russia won the Cold War / WW3 meaning they kept communism along with the KGB still being in operation.

All modern history is the same except Russia never attacked Ukraine as they're both the same country Ukraine is just a state of Russia.

***Geography***

The former Soviet countries all have their own inderpendent country land however they're still under Russian laws and control, since Russia won WW3 they kept the structure the same.

You can say that the new countries are just states of Russia.
