Rush it

"Ace, take it out hard and fast! Don't give it a chance to use the power its storing!"

Your treecko gave a single nod, then rushed in, unleashing a flurry of attacks against the seedot. Punches, tail strikes, and kicks mixed together in a whirl of action. With every hit the seedot's glow grew brighter, until you were sure you were about to fail.

Then with a final full strength kick, Ace sent the seedot flying back, where it rolled onto its side and was still as the glow slowly faded away.

You let out a breath. "That was closer than I would have liked." You knelt down and patted Ace's head. "Good job. You really pulled through there."

You stood back up, putting Ace back on your shoulder as you glanced back at the seedot. It would probably be fine, poochyena didn't eat seedots and most non-dark-type pokemon wouldn't attack an unconscious target like this.

The battle done, you continued on your way.
