What's next?
Running to his old boss, Victoria Adams
You stepped aside from the hallway towards the pool as you heard a rather familiar voice coming from one of the changing rooms. It had been a few days since you had ran into Georgia and after managing to get her mouth working again, the two of you got to chatting and talking. It was interesting to be talking to her knowing a part of your father's brain was inside her head, something you were sure you would bring up to Saunders and Kelly the next time you saw them, but you instead just focused on making her laugh and after a bit, you asked her for her number. She couldn't get her phone out quickly enough as far as she was concerned and after promising to text her, you gave her a hug, friendly you intended to, which caused her to gasp slightly.
She'll have very happy dreams tonight, Monica laughed as you recounted the encounter to her this afternoon before you headed to work.
Still, the voice that came from the changing room was one that you hadn't heard in a few months but seemed somewhat out of place, namely because you only ever heard her use it in a stern way (usually berating a fellow teacher or three...you were often the target of such down-dressing.)
You were about to turn around and walk back down the hallway to avoid confronting her when she stepped out without looking and bumped into you. Hard. "Wha..." she called out and as she was about to fall backwards, you reached out instinctively and caught her, wrapping your arms around her waist and steadied her.
"Woah, you okay?" you asked, after realizing what you were doing and quickly, and gently, set her back up right. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you."
"Sorry, should've watched where I was going." She blinked and then, surprise to you, smiled warmly. "Hey, DJ! It's been a few months!"
"Mrs. Adams? It is you!" you responded, unsure really how to respond or what the nature of their relationship was. As much as your memory was mostly negative, DJ's memories were anything but. Long afternoon talks, sessions where the two of you worked rather closely on your academics and your financial aide, helping with school and team fundraising...this was a completely foreign side to Victoria that you never saw but DJ knew in spades.
"Okay, DJ, I know it's been a while but what did I say? You're no longer my student, you can call me Victoria."
"Sorry, M...Victoria..." you corrected and she beamed at you before she opened her arms and gave you a warm hug.
"It's good to see you!" She patted your back before she let go of you and gave you a once over. "Can we talk in a bit? I want to get my laps in before the pool gets too busy."
"Sure, I'll be working at the desk. Come see me when you're done."
She smiled again before turning and walking, sauntering, down the hall. As she disappeared, you quickly pulled out your phone.
D: Pam, you got to hear this...Adams SMILED at me.
A few seconds later came Pam's stunned response.
P: You're shitting me...the bitch can smile?
D: No kidding, she and DJ worked really closely when he was a junior and senior...she hugged me and everything.
P: Damn it, dude...you've got to claim her. She needs a good dicking down.
D: Is me fucking women all you can think about?
P: Nope, got a surprise for you but don't get ahead of yourself. Got a pic?
You scrolled through your phone and then selected the image you secretly snapped of Victoria.

P: Yeah, she wants the D bad, DJ...
D: What is this surprise you have for me?
P: Patience, DJ...you'll see in a few weeks.

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
