Rules on Actions and Defending
Your character has a limited number of actions that can be performed per turn. Here we'll discuss some of the most common actions.
1). Travel: Each post constitutes approximately 3 hours unless your character is actively engaged in an encounter. Your character will move approximately 3 miles per post, but may move faster if walking on a road. If you're not actively traveling while trying to get somewhere then, obviously, you won't get there.
2). Explore: This is one of the most important and common actions you can perform. Every turn the Game Master will roll up a random encounter at the end of the post where something good or bad can happen. Exploring does the same thing. Want an extra random Encounter, even two, during a post? Explore. Sometimes this will yield food, water, and important items. Sometimes it'll trigger a monster, trap, or other negative event. Regardless, it still gives you extra opportunity to earn good things and survive longer, so Explore at your own risk...
3). Crafting: Yes, Crafting is a thing in IMPREGNATAR. While there are probably more detailed rules coming later, for now Crafting is left up to your imagination, Talent, and the Game Master. Wanted to make a shirt out of some string and tattered cloth? Want to make a handbag or a backpack out of that same cloth, or a shelter with that cloth and some sticks? Talk to the Game Master and I'll give you some prerequisites on the item you're trying to make and how effective it'll be then we'll toss some dice and see what happens.
4). Running: The more I think of it, maybe Running is the most important Action you can partake of. Starting out you will be very, very ****. No ARMOR, clothes, or weapons make for some hazards in the world of IMPREGNATAR, so your legs may be your best defense. To run you roll a D20 + Speed. But, then so does your enemy. If they're faster than you they'll catch you in the same post. If not, you'll then get (1 Post x Endurance) to escape, and rereoll that Speed check each time. If your enemy's roll is 75% or less of yours then you'll outrun them and be safe (for awhile).
If they outrun you though...
When Running, a group of Enemies will be treated like a single threat. They can only roll once.
5). Spell Casting: Aside from your Level and the level of the spell you wish to use, there's not much restriction on what Spells you can get. Use the appropriate Stat when casting (Intelligence, Wisdom, Chrisman, whatever). Your Mana is the number of Spells you can cast per turn. Sure, this may make some Characters god-mode later, but if they make it that far good on 'em. We' ll just have to do some other dastardly thing to even the playing field.
6). Attacking: This is pretty self explanatory, but I'll give you the basics. You can attack either using your fists or a weapon, be it a sword or a bow. Close Combat is handheld weapons, while Ranged Combat is projectiles (thrown Spears, Bows & Arrows, etc). Better weapons have better Attack Bonuses that add to your own Combat Stats when you roll the D20. They also do various amounts of damage.
7). Defending: PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION HERE! You may Defend any time an enemy attacks you or you encounter a Hazard even if you have no remaining actions. You may Defend once per threat. Need to dodge a falling rock? That's 1 chance you get (which would be a Speed & Agility Check). Getting attacked by 3 Kobolds? You may defend 3 times (for example, if they're trying to, Grapple you, using a Strength Check) or you can Run from the whole group once (sometimes better than wrestling 3 Kobolds...).

IMPREGNATAR
A KINKY GAME OF SURVIVAL AND IMPREGNATION
An interactive survival story that's like a combination of D&D, Dark Souls, and Zelda, YOU play and write as a character in the video game world of IMPREGNATAR. Your character awakens, spawned into the middle of nowhere in a game world with little memory of who they are, how they got there, and all but the faintest of survival assets. Post by post they will explore their surroundings hoping to gain skills, level up, and survive by avoiding any Bad End scenarios with a horrific (and probably kinky) fate. Each character gets one chance, but meeting a Bad End results in being permanently Lost. In the land of IMPREGNATAR where everything wants to breed you, do you have the skills (and the luck) to survive? Contact me on Discord @Progenitor Rex#0397 for more information!
