Ruby x Raven (Argent allure)

A red portal opens in the farm house where Ruby and Qrow are staying following their arrival in the city of Mistral. Out of it emerges Weiss, Yang and Raven. Ruby tears up after being reunited with her best friend and sister after the tragic fall of Beacon.

Uncle Qrow is shocked to see Raven. They hug, exchanging pleasantries despite their previous cut throat discussion about the fate of the Remnant. As Ruby, Weiss and Yang break up their group hug, Ruby notices Raven walking towards her slowly. Raven's eyes totally fixed on her face, almost as if there was no one else in the room.

Ruby asks "Who are you?" anxiously. Qrow introduces Raven to Ruby as Yang's long lost biological mother.

This introduction does not set Ruby at ease, knowing that Yang risked her life searching for Raven when she abandoned her years ago. Uncle Qrow assures her that they are on good terms now- Raven would not have shown up like this with Yang if they weren't. Ruby nods her head with confidence, trusting Qrow's judgement.

"You have her eyes..." Raven says softly. She walks with her arms open to greet Ruby. Raven hugs her tightly, holding Ruby's head in her chest. Ruby hugs her back but the embrace lasts just a little too long. Even Uncle Qrow is slightly uncomfortable with how long Raven holds Ruby.

Raven eventually lets her loose, still holding Ruby by her upper arms but at least giving space to breathe.

"You have your mother's silver eyes... you are so beautiful," Raven tells Ruby as she looks longingly into her pupils.

Qrow coughs to break the tension.

Raven looks back at Qrow and apologizes. "It's been so long since... team STRQ. Since we lost her. I can't help but get emotional..."

Raven can barely finish her sentence before weeping. She cries painfully, holding her head in her hands. Qrow takes her swiftly into another room, telling Ruby and co to enjoy themselves as he handles her.

Ruby stands in the middle of the room with the spotlight on her. She has never seen anyone cry so passionately about the **** of Summer apart from herself... Though Ruby gets a grip on herself and tells everyone that this is not a time to be sad! It's time to get happy!
