Ruby swaps something with Weiss. She went back on her promise to spar.

Ruby frowned and fidgeted with the remote in her pocket. She and Weiss were supposed to spar as a reward for all her hard work studying such boring material, and yet here she was walking away after a brief conversation about her date.

Regardless of her feelings about Jaune, he had nothing to do with her keeping her word. The remote suddenly felt much lighter in her hand as she leveled it with her partner's back. The snow-haired girl had no idea what was about to happen.

Ruby knew exactly how she was going to punish Weiss for not keeping her promise. Since this whole thing started because of academics, then her means of retribution should fit the crime. Swapping something mental just made the most sense.

The silver-eyed girl knew how studious Weiss was and how much she valued her intelligence, so it was time to see how she would fair without her encyclopedia-like brain.

Ruby pressed down on the device and felt a small jolt run down her spine. Weiss also paused briefly, scratching her head. The young team leader could feel it now, tons and tons of information flowing into her like milk in a glass. Things she didn't know or care to know were making themselves known at a rapid pace.

She blinked once, twice, and then stared ahead to find that her partner had completely left. She lowered the remote and did her best to take in the new information with a focus she hadn't had previously.

"Wow... so this is what being super smart feels like." she mumbled to herself. Grimm studies, history, mathematics, science, weapon maintenance, reading, all of it was so clear and so easy to absorb and maintain. It was incredible. She was incredible now. A genius.

A smile broke out across Ruby's face as she placed the remote back in her pocket. For the first time in her life, she felt like a genius. She had to test how smart she was now. Maybe she should go to the library? Huh? This was a first. She wanted to go to the library and read something that wasn't either a comic or fantasy novel.

She wanted something thicker, more challenging, a history book, the advanced study of Dust, something like that. She tapped her chin in thought. Then again, she also wanted to see how Weiss was doing now that she wasn't super smart anymore.
