Ruby Rose

Ruby idely worked on Crescent Rose, most of the time it was a relaxing pass time something to do after a frustrating task. However what do you do when your destresser becomes you're stresser. "STUPID LITTLE GUNK," Ruby scrubbed one more time at don't forget to little black spot on her blade using her semblance, her eye twitching as the small black spot remained. " I just want to upgrade Crescent Rose," She closed her eyes to whine not seeing how Crescent Rose seemingly just got the most thorough deep cleaning imaginable. Ruby opened her eyes ready to go at it one more time only to not be able to find it, as she went up and down trying to find the spot, but she didn't find it or any dirt for that matter.

Ruby was beyond confused, but after only a few minutes of trying to figure out what happened, she moved on. She looked at the parts she had bought. The scope had a cleaner sight than her current one, and had a farther zoom, however it's different intervals was something she'd need to get used to. The spike to replace the sharp end of Crescent Rose's shaft, was a little shorter than she liked and it's design differed from her old reliable.

She remembered how Pyrrha had mentioned getting a bunch of sponsorship offers for gear and parts but never finding any use. "Pyrrha being my best friend," Ruby stretched getting ready to work on Crescent Rose. 'Would be really great,'.

With that she began to unscrew the scope. She heard a knock on the door. Ruby opened the door to find Pyrrha both hands behind her back. "Oh hi ya Pyrrha what ya doing?"

"So you remember, those sponsors, I was telling you about," Pyrrha looked down to Ruby clearly trying to hold something in.

"Yea, Milo and Akouo aren't really too upgradable and the few parts that can are negligible," Ruby thought about the conversation, only to realize there where two memories. One of Pyrrha informing the group about it. The other felt far more personal, one of Pyrrha complaining to Ruby about all of her struggles and everything that annoyed her about her status. The sponsors had been hounding her for weeks hoping to get a sponsorship deal. That one was never there before.

"Well after some back and forth I said I would think about it, only if they sent me a scope and spike to test out," Pyrrha smiled before bringing her arms out. Ruby's eyes widened, a bit of drool coming out of her mouth. There where two boxes one held a scope nearly identical to the one she was going to switch out, except for the increase in zoom she had been looking for. The 2nd was a spike Ruby could just see the sharpness from it's glare against the light.

"Okay but why me," Ruby asked holding both of the boxes, she wanted to end this conversation quickly so she could test them out.

"Well for one your the only person I trust to test out any upgrades. Second is as an apology gift for not being partners," Pyrrha tapped her finger tips together confusing Ruby.

As if on command, she felt a bunch of memories pop up. Of how Pyrrha at a young age had been seen as weird at Patch's Preschool. For her being the tallest kid in the playground, and for not being native to Patch.Then Ruby coming by after a few days offering a cookie, ' Cokis mke eveything bette,'. How that one cookie made everything change, and from that day forward Pyrrha couldn't be seen without the little rose by her side. Memories of them running around at either one of their houses playing Huntress. Or when Pyrrha would comfort her for those long weeks after mom didn't come home. The sadness of hearing that Pyrrha was moving back to Argus, followed by the sheer excitement of being in the front row watching Pyrrha become who she was today. Then the giddiness the day before Beacon initiation that she was going to be standing next to her as a teammate.

Ruby internally cringed as she felt the jealousy. Jealous towards Jaune, for being Pyrrha's partner. Jealous towards him, for being the one Pyrrha is afte romantically. Angry at him for ignoring Pyrrha. She was angry whenever Pyrrha would come to her dejected and upset after every failed attempt to get his attention.

But now wasn't the time to think about Jaune, she looked up towards Pyrrha trying to mask the feeling of rage and confusion. 'How did I do that,' It had to be her. There was no one else who could have done it.

"S are you ready to test them out, I have to make sure that the "invincible girl" has only the best sponsors," Pyrrha giggled as Ruby perked up

"Oh but of course not we wouldn't like for the great Pyrrha Niko's to have anything but the best sponsor," Ruby gave an over exaggerated bow, as she made way for Argus' prodigy.

After putting the parts in they headed for the shooting range. Ruby found the scope adiquete enough to be okay, which to Pyrrha meant the best non hand crafted scope at the moment. The Spike was also just okay. As the finished testing Ruby decided to mumble something to see if something happens.
