Rose and Aurora

Rose let out a little gasp as she suddenly found herself standing in a living room much like the one she’d just left, just a little smaller and more cozy, with Aurora’s hand on her shoulder.

Rose breathed out shakily and sat down in one of the chairs, breathing a little raggedly as she played with the hem of her skirt. Looking up she sees Aurora and tilts her head a little as she takes in the sight of the host now she’s not on camera. Aurora is less expressive, not being as careful about keeping her illusion firmly settled, the stitches that connect the majority of her body together becoming visible for several seconds with each movement.

Aurora sat down next to Rose, resting her chin on her hands and waiting for the breakdown she expected, the reason Aurora had whisked Rose away from the other contestants so rapidly. The tears gathered in Rose’s eyes as she felt the full pressure of what had happened today come down on her shoulders, roughly wiping at her eyes.

“Umm…Aurora. What…who are you? I mean…apart from the host?” Rose lifted her skirt to dab at her eyes, the tasteful mascara she had applied that morning starting to smear a little. Rose bit her lip a little, looking over at Aurora.

Aurora looked back at Rose and smiled just a little, letting the veil of illusion she had pulled around herself drop. She had expected horror, disgust, revulsion. But instead all Rose did was look wide eyed, then lean over and hug her. Aurora didn’t quite know what to do in that moment, lamely patting Rose’s arm.

“Who and what I am are broadly the same, I am a pet project of a madman. A creature made and eventually whisked up by The Producers for a unaired season of Harem Hotel involving monster girls. I have spent a long time waiting, but the Producers finally decided to give me a experimental season of Harem Hotel as host…”

Aurora stopped talking, gently patting Rose’s arm to signal the young woman to stop hugging her. Rose let go but kept her hand on Aurora’s. Giving Rose a small smile, Aurora stood and gestured around the rooms.

“I will give you a tour, then you’ll have the evening and night to yourself. Until the challenge tomorrow I’m afraid you’ll be confined here so the other contestants can have some time to let the audience get to know them. And Rose…I’m on your side. I need to make a show for the cameras….but I don’t want you to get hurt. You will need to work with me at least a little however…”

Rose also stood up, wiping her eyes one more time and following Aurora on the tour of the half a dozen rooms of the Mistresses Suite.
