Room 3

You walk through the doorway into another room. Opposite you is a door to the next room. Above it, you see the words {if@ Time (seconds) > 0}"{@5500 Time (seconds)} seconds" etched in Arabic numerals. You realise that you don't have a lot of time left to escape from the curse. {else}"YOUR TIME HAS RUN OUT" etched into the stone. You realise that your have failed and are going to be cursed.{endif}

This room is large and filled with many treasures, including chests, papyruses and intricately carved statues. You know that you’ll find many useful and valuable things in this room, however, your current goal is to get out of this alive.

What draws the eye are the two objects on either side of the room. To your left stands a giant statue of a tall and serious woman. {if@ Button 3 = true}Since you were last here, she has moved; the statue is now facing towards you and her eyes seem to follow you around the room.{else}She is facing away from you so that half of her face is lost in shadow.{endif} On the other side of the room is an altar, carved with many scenes. On top of the altar lies a box that looks like it’s made of gold.

You realise that this room is the shrine to the gods and that the treasures are offerings to them so that Imhotep’s journey to the underworld would have been smooth. You hope that the gods will forgive you for looking at their treasures.
