Roll over

You get out of the cage, and you roll over, acceptant of your owner's authority over you.

"Excellent, my little pet," she says, and she scratches your stomach as if you truly was a cat.

Next it is Elena's turn. However she decides to do the same. After that, the woman says "I will be back in the evening," and she leaves you alone in the room.

Your first thought is to rush to Elena. Expecting her to do the same. But as you start stumbling forward in the mittens, you realize that she stayed in the cage.

"Meow!" you say as you poke her with your paw. But she ignores you. You poke her a couple more times. And finally you get a "Meow!" as a response, her tone angry and sad at the same time.

Of course... you think to yourself. Elena's mind was always so pragmatic. Instead of being hopeful about an escape as you are, she already concluded that it is not possible to get out. A life of constant humiliation and boredom left as a consequence.

And so she will just lie here. Dreaming of the days when she still had her freedom.

Of course such occurrence really shouldn't stop you!
