Robot Lab

“Robots? Seriously?” Emma said as she watched Chris select the fourth floor. “Could you be any nerdier?”

“Hey, don’t be discounting robots!” Grace said as she put away her phone into her back pocket. “There is so much potential that they have! There’s literally endless possibilities. Maybe they’ll have an exosuit. Or maybe some kind of gundam?”

“And there she goes again,” Thomas said as he rolled his eyes. “You just had to set her off, huh?”

“Hey, it’s not her fault she gets super excited about it,” Chris said as he crossed his arms. “If it weren’t for that excitement, we wouldn’t have gotten to meet each other.”

“Ugh, I can still smell the burnt remnants of plastic from that day,” Emma groaned as she started to recall it.

“Hey, I’ve gotten much better since then,” Grace said as she turned to Emma. “Need I remind you whose fault it was that set off that reaction?” She took a step towards Emma. The two of them glared at each other for a few seconds before Grace grabbed Emma by the back of the head and pulled her in for a passionate kiss.

Thomas and Chris both stared and smiled as the two ladies made out in the corner of the elevator. “Dude, you have got to teach me your secrets,” Chris said as he leaned over to Thomas. “A three-way relationship with you, Emma, and Grace?”

“It was a bit of a rocky start,” Thomas chuckled as he watched his girlfriends kiss each other. Their hands stroked through each others’ hair as their lips locked. “But, Emma was the one who brought it up to me. Who was I to say no?”

As the elevator reached its destination, Grace pulled herself off of Emma and turned to the open doors. “We’re here!” She wiped a bit of Emma’s lipstick off her and headed out the elevator.

“Mhmm, what a woman,” Emma said in a dream-like state as she followed after Grace. Thomas followed immediately after, leaving Chris at the rear.

Before them stood large, imposing metal doors with bold lettering that said ‘ROBOT LAB.’ There were a couple posters up that looked like motivational posters. Before anyone could say anything to stop her, Grace put her hands on the handles and flung open the doors.

The buzzing of electricity and the whirring of various gears, sprockets, and other machinery filled the air as they walked inside.

“Hey wait, it might be dangerous!”

Grace immediately ran to look around the room, ignoring Chris’s concern. She ran over to a large humanoid robot with a sleek silver and blue color scheme. The features and proportions made it seem almost human, but at the same time, it was a blank canvas. The face was a solid surface, as was the torso and hips. There was a handprint scanner next to the display that looked like it would activate the robot. There was also a sign next to it that said ‘Fuck-Bot 302.’

Thomas wanted to follow after Grace, but something else caught his eye. He walked over towards something that looked like a backpack, but it was metallic and surprisingly heavier than it first looked. Still, he was able to pick it up without too much hassle. He wasn’t able to open it, no matter how hard he tried, but it looked like if he put it on, he would be able to open it. Sadly, there wasn’t any kind of blueprints or details around that would have told him what the backpack did.

Emma passed by Grace, giving her a quick squeeze of the ass, then passed Thomas and gave him a firm kiss on the lips, before heading towards something that looked like a VR headset. Though, it wasn’t just the headset that was there, but also a large table that looked like a bed. The headset was wired up into the ceiling, then extended back down to a set of computers in another room. She picked it up and looked at the headset. It didn’t look dangerous at all. The front of the headset said something about a 3D system. ‘Deep Dive Design,’ was written on the sides of the bed.

As Chris entered the room, the doors behind them slammed shut and locked. “Shit!” Chris shouted as he tried to pry open the doors, but they wouldn’t budge at all. “Alright guys, don’t panic. I’m sure we can figure out some way out of here.” He looked at all his friends, who were engaged in their different discoveries. “Or, okay then.”

He wandered around, looking for any way that they could figure a way out of this lab, when he came across a small headset. It looked similar to a VR headset, but this one was much more intense. It was on a platform, and there were also devices that were attached with cables for the hands and for the feet. Next to the platform was a small glass case with a small robot, about four inches tall, that was depowered. There wasn’t any signs or anything that told Chris what this was, but they looked connected somehow.

“Find anything cool, Chris?” Thomas asked as he came over with Grace and Emma.

“Uh, I found something. What about you three?” The four of them shared their discoveries, including how they were now currently locked in the room.

“Well, maybe one of these robots can get us out,” Emma said as she looked around.

“We’re just gonna try random things?” Chris asked.
