Robin holds off their attack, for now

The evening forest was nearly pitch black as Robin exited her carriage, rapier at the ready. She knew well that her attackers would almost certainly use this to their advantage--bandits were known for their underhanded tactics, after all!

So, while she couldn't see her attackers, she knew they would be waiting for her. Robin just needed to anticipate their follow up..... there! With a flourish, she spun around, catching the incoming dart with the edge of her rapier in a remarkable show of speed and skill. Her unnecessary cape spun around behind her, adding even more flash to her display.

Looking around for the source of the attack, Robin could identify some vague movement in some nearby bushes, but it was too dark to know if that was her attacker, or just the wind. While her opponents moved around her, setting up positions to continue their attack, safe withing the shadows, Robin was met with the task of figuring out a way to locate them, to track down their shifting positions. At this point, she didn't even know how many of them there were, but Robin was determined not to give up!
