Chapter 2 by CelebMaster69 CelebMaster69

Who gets the power, and what specifically do they have?

Rise Kujikawa, a Dollhouse

Rise hadn't grown out of her doll phase from when she was little. She still had a few of her old dolls from her childhood.

When she saw a life-sized dollhouse for sale in an antique store, she had to buy it using some of the money she made working as both an idol and at her grandma's tofu shop.

She went to her room, putting the dollhouse in her room and seeing that it already came with small dolls. They were plain cloth dolls, and had nametags on their chests, and there looked to be over two hundred in there.

"Hm," said Rise. "I guess I should name the dolls, since they do have nametags."

She took a pen and decided to name the dolls after her friends. She wrote 'Yu Narukami' on one of the tags, only to watch in confusion as the name vanished.

"That was weird," Rise said. She tried writing Yu's name on the tag again, but the name kept vanishing.

"Okay...let me try a different name," Rise said. She wrote 'Yukiko Amagi' on the doll's nametag, expecting the name to vanish again...

Instead, she was surprised to see the naked form of Yukiko in the dollhouse, standing at attention, a blank smile on her face.

"Wait, what?" Rise cried. She leaned closer to the dollhouse. "That's really Yukiko! It looks so realistic!"

She took the Yukiko doll and decided to run some tests. When she lifted the doll's right arm, the Yukiko in the dollhouse raised her right arm. When she bent the doll's left leg, the Yukiko in the dollhouse bent her left leg. It seemed the two were connected.

"This is coool!" Rise giggled. "I should tell the real Yukiko! She'll freak out!"

Rise opened her contact list, but couldn't find Yukiko's name anywhere. So instead Rise called Chie instead.

"What's up, Rise?" Chie asked.

"Can you call Yukiko-senpai? I think I lost her number."

"Who?" asked Chie.

"Yukiko," said Rise.

"Who's Yukiko?"

"Yukiko Amagi," Rise said. "Your best friend, heir to the Amagi Inn. Duh!"

"I don't know anyone named Yukiko," said Chie. "The Amagis don't have kids. Are you feeling all right, Rise?"

"Um...yeah," said Rise. "I gotta go!"

She hung up on Chie. Did that mean that this naked Yukiko was the real Yukiko, just somehow in the dollhouse. Had the doll done that when Rise wrote Yukiko's name on it?

Rise couldn't help herself, grabbing a spare, unnamed doll and writing Chie's name on it.

Chie appeared beside Yukiko, also naked and smiling away. Rise checked her contacts and even more, her recent calls, and Chie's name was gone.

Somehow her two friends had become literal dolls at Rise's disposal.

Rise couldn't help but grin.
