Chapter 4 by Laxaragus225 Laxaragus225

'Where are we dropping, boys?'

Right in the middle of a summoning circle...

The first thing I notice waking up is that I no longer have my normal, human body. I can see and feel everything around me, all at the same time. As for my body itself, I don't have 'limbs' anymore, just an amorphous mass of slime goo surrounding my core. It seems like any and all actions that I can take originates from this core, so if I scoot to the right the core essentially sends a 'shockwave' towards the right which pushes the slime mass to the right and me alongside it. I don't know if it's the Arcane core or the slime's instincts, but something's telling me that I can get more momentum and movement by pushing myself upwards diagonally. Not even a second in and I'm already thinking like a typical slime would, if they can even think.

This is... so weird.

Looking around, I seem to be in some sort of a wizard or witches' work/bed room, if an explosion rocked the whole place. A faint dark fog envelopes the whole room, but nonetheless I can still 'see' well enough. Numerous books can be seen all around in large shelves, arranged haphazardly with missing books in between and face-down open ones at the bottom. An alchemical station is on the right, with glass flasks surprisingly intact, mortar and pestles on the floor, some sort of a magical burner tipped over, open books about alchemy, and runes lighting up the table. To the left is the study table, with a lantern put out and an ink and quill. Behind to the left is a bed and bedside table, and to the right is a door.

Wait a second, 'explosion and dark fog', isn't this just smoke?

"*cough *cough Finally... I managed to summon a big one..." Oh shit, my 'summoner' is waking up.

I hastily hobbled my way off the summoning table while the smoke clears. When I expected to drop off as I slide towards the edge, I instead stuck to the sides and the bottom, now upside down.

Nifty ability, good lord not right now though!

I pried myself off the summoner's table, which my slime instincts find strangely difficult. I then proceed to go towards the alchemical station, near the mortar and pestles. Hopping off like a slime feels like wading through muck, but it's still much faster than crawling. I managed to scoot out of sight just before the smoke clears.

"W-what? It's empty?!" Oh, it's a witch. I take a risky peek behind one of the mortars.

The first thing that caught my attention is her shapely ass. She's leaning towards the doorway and the bed, looking for me, and as such her butt jiggles every so slightly every time she turns. Her black and red witch's robe is not hiding the motion at all.

Logically, she'd assume that her summoned creature would escape if it's not there, with the obvious option being the door behind it. Seeing it's closed and locked, next would be under the bed.

...Oh, in my panic I accidentally went deeper into the witches' lair. Can't fault the view, though.

"Wait, maybe..? No... That can't be it, could it..?" The witch murmurs to herself seemingly dejected. I'm surprised I can even hear her from this distance, nevermind actually understand what she's saying.

She moves towards under the bed, and I made my move crawling upwards via the bookshelf. However, mere inches away from the wall, I start to feel tingling all over me. I take a closer look at the bookshelf, and I noticed a faint glint surround the whole thing.

Warded! The door must've been warded too. How do I get out of here?

"A..ha! Ah... Nothing..." The witch's sudden shout made me jump, accidentally touching the ward.

"What was that?" She turned towards the bookshelf I was on, and I swiftly hid on one of the mortars lying around. I shrank myself to be as small as I could, but I can feel that I'm still too big to fit inside one. Best I can do is hide inside one of the toppled ones and have a small piece bulging out_, _as if spilled.

I can hear the witch's footsteps closer and closer towards me, until I can see her face.

She's very pretty, especially while she's narrow-eyed and pouting. Her short, auburn hair glistens under the lamplight while her piercing green eyes stare right into my soul. My vision drifts downwards, and I've bare witness to a pair of boobs nestled within her robe and white undershirt.

The view I'm currently having would've been a teenage boy's wet dream, were it not for God's Eye's status screen overlayed over her cleavage.

???.

I stared dumbfounded. What. The. Fuck. Are they supposed to be that high?! Where the hell did Ariel or the twins dropped me onto?

Awed by the ridiculous stats I'm seeing, I barely notice the witch brandish a wand from her hand and point at the mortars. By the time I come to, I already feel the cackle of an impending lightning bolt coming from the wand. She let loose a bolt and all I can see is a white light.

Shiiiiit.

Did I really die on my first day?
