"It was so crazy to see you on TV!" Stacey said. "You're a total star now!"

"Uh... I guess."

"But, I mean, how's it feel to be the most out of shape contestant on the Biggest Loser?" Stacey asked.

"I am not!" Lauren objected.

"Lauren, we all saw the show!" One of the guys, a tall football player pointed out.

"Yeah, we all saw proof too." Another girl said, leaning over to look at Lauren's backside.

Lauren wanted to shoot back, to argue, to defend herself. But, she just blushed and hung her head. It was all true... how could she argue? For the first time, Lauren was cowed, unsure and tongue tied.

"Where are you guys going?" Stacey asked. Lauren' mother chimed in.

"We're going to the Gap." She said.

"Well, maybe we'll see you there." Stacey grinned at Lauren. "And maybe later you and I can go out for coffee. Not much, since you're on a diet. We'll just have two tiny, itty bitty cups."
