Ride to camp.

You mount your emus. Before you know it, the wind is blowing back through your cloak and brown hair, and by your direction, it looks as if you're chasing down the sun as it sets. Hefty, sharp talons dig into the dirt road westward towards Tanver's Crossing at an incredible pace. You won't arrive today, unless you had any need to **** march through the darkness, though just as Snow said, you'll likely arrive even before the afternoon tomorrow. Speaking of which, the light is dimming. Hours have passed, and now evening has arrived. It doesn't take long before the entire land is covered by a blanket of shadow.

Without the light pollution of a modern city, at least the sky is luminescent with an uncountable number of stars. The bright moon is waning.

You tie up your feathery steeds and prepare to rest. It won't be a camp as glamorous as the one made by the Crookblade Bandits, but all you need are a few sleeping bags, and a small fire to ward off wild animals as well as any chill caused by an autumn night. After Niki once again starts the fire herself, you bring out some snacks. You're all hungry again now that time has passed since Monarch has fed you.

"You know what we need?" Niki asks with a mouth half filled with sandwich. "A brewer. Every party needs one of those."

Eva swallows, though perhaps too quickly. The large amount of food struggles down her throat, so she grabs a waterskin nearby, opens it up, and pours it into her mouth. Some amount does not make it in, causing water to run down her chin, and to her chest. "Niki," she says after finishing. "We have so many people already. Is that really so important?"

"We do not need to add one to the party per se," speaks Amara. "There are craftspeople, traders, and the like either within Castle Phoenix or travelling between there and Tivera. Though I do think a constructing a brewery is more of a project than say, a clothing store."

"What do you think, Xiaoqing?" Niki asks.

"Me?" she asks in surprise. Her hat is on her lap. She runs her fingers back through her unnaturally blue hair, and thinks for a moment--not expecting the question, so not entirely paying attention either. "I wasn't that much of a drinker on Earth, but when I did drink, it was usually wine."

"Oh! What kind of drinks did they even have in your world? I never thought to ask Kyle."

"I mean, lots! Probably the same kinds of ****, just plenty of brands. I actually don't know how to answer the question. You all have beer, wine, even hard liquors. It isn't that different. I suppose we didn't really drink them out of steins or wooden mugs. Not anymore, unless you owned a cool one for fun. Beer usually came in tin cans or glass bottles."

"Tin cans... Hmm. No, I don't know what that is."

As they converse, you stand. Your eyes shift to Snow, and she notices rather quickly.

"Is there something you need?" the catfolk asks.

You nod and look to the rest. "Y'all entertain yourselves for a bit. I just want to talk to Snow about something."

Xiaoqing raises her hand. "I brought cards if anybody wants to do something with those."

"Know any cool Earth card games?" Niki asks.

"Uh... How about Go Fish?"
