The people of Rezu's village did not choose her to become a caretaker nor did she when the time came. Instead her sister village chose her for their guardian, Zazsi, as is the tradition in the crescent valley since the two split off from the original site that has been abandoned since. Rezu has always been blunt with people to the point where it hurts her chances at making many friends and then she holds a grudge against them thanks to that stubborn head.
