Chapter 5 by iReed iReed

What happens next?

Rewrite their Night (ALT)

Ruby, Yang and Blake were preparing for bed in their dorms. Weiss was still at the desk where she had remained for hours, scanning over books and writing notes.

"Are you going to keep that lamp on all night, Weiss Bitch, 'cause some of us are gonna try to sleep?" asked Yang.

"Well I think it's worth we try to catch up on work, since we basically missed a whole day of study," said Weiss.

"Oh come on, Weiss. We're a bunch of naïve idiots that only make nuisances of ourselves for people like Torchwick. I think the school can do without us, with or without study," said Ruby.

"He still got away, Ruby," said Blake, with a big, boisterous smile on her face.

"Why are you smiling about that, Blake?" asked Yang, confused at her friends strange reaction.

Blake immediately stopped smiling and shook her head lightly in confusion.

"I-I don't know," said the cat girl, trying to figure out why she had ever wanted to have Torchwick arrested at all. After all, she was a criminal too, so shouldn't judge him one bit. That... didn't seem right to the cat girl.

"Something's wrong," said Blake, erroneously.

"What do you mean?" said Ruby, concerned for her teammate.

"I'm thinking... that I need to be collared. MEOW!" said the catgirl, happy to admit her true feelings.

"Oh Blake. You're such a stupid pussycat," said Ruby, as all of the four girls laughed.

The four remained laughing for a couple of seconds before they all suddenly came to their senses and realized what was said.

"Oh my God," cried Ruby, "Blake, I'm so sorry."

"No it's fine. This is what I mean. Something is contr-. You're absolutely right. I am a stupid pussycat. I belong in a petting zoo." said the catgirl, as she posed her hands into paws.

The girls couldn't agree more.

"Blake, why are you saying this. You belong in a cardboard box in a rainy alleyway, you filthy stray!" yelled Yang. It took a moment for her to cover her mouth with an expression of anguish, as the words cut deep into the dumb cat girl.

"I didn't say that, I swear," pleaded Yang.

"It's okay. I know it wasn't you," said Blake

"What is happening?" screamed Yang, before taking a sigh of relief.

With a smile, she cupped her breasts, saying

"I'm a loud, blonde whore."

"I'm a stupid, mouthy bitch," said Weiss, sticking her finger up her nose.

"I'm a lowly, savage animal," said Blake, striking another catgirl pose.

"We're all as dumb as each other," said Ruby, going cross-eyed.

They remained there for a second, before they once again shook out of it.

"You're right," said Weiss, "something is definitely wrong here."

"Yes. We need to find help. NO. We should stay here and figure it out ourselves." Ruby said. They could go to Ozpin. However, she'd prefer they stay where they were. Ugh! That wasn't right.

"I mean leav- STAY. Leave- We should let them control us. No It's actually rather nice," Ruby couldn't deny the happy buzz she gets when she waits to see what she says or does. It... was an interesting feeling.

"No, Ruby. That's what they want. We should lea- "I am in agreement. We can figure it out just fine by ourselves," said Weiss.

"Guys, think. We're moron's. How could we figure anything out by ourselves?" said Yang.

"It never stopped us before," said Blake, making for the door but deciding it would be better to stay and sat back on her bed.

There they all sat. Unsure whether or not it was their own decisions to do so. Regardless, they had to get to the bottom of this, so a brainstorm was in order.

"Do you think it's someone's semblance?" said Ruby

"It would be pretty powerful, if it were," said Yang

"Whatever is happening, it's great," said Blake.

"It isn't great, Blake! It's amazing," said Weiss, contently, "It's feels so good that someone is putting an uppity bitch like me in their place."

"Wait. I - absolutely agree. A dumb animal like me should be thankful for someone telling me what to do, think and say.

Yang and Ruby could see that the other two were being controlled again and that the conversation was derailing but they had to agree. It was so exciting just to sit here and see what happened. They hoped for something really humiliating. Maybe something criminal. It would be so funny.

The four girls quickly snapped out of it, but there was an eerie feeling of latency.

The longer this went on, the more the girls were beginning to believe what they were saying and thinking. What they were told. That clearly sent a terrifying but thrilling shiver up each of their backs.

They had to get help stay and continue to talk.

"W-when did this start?" offered Ruby, setting the conversation back in motion.

"Just a couple of minutes ago... I-I think," said Blake, awkwardly stammering her sentence, unsure of when she'd start spouting nonsense again.

"It was when Blake smiled. That's when I noticed," said Yang, sweating in anticipation.

"Actually," interjected Weiss, "I remember that, before Blake smiled, Ruby called us a bunch of naïve idiots, I think, because we stopped Roman Torchwick's dust robbery earlier today. Blake smiled about him getting away."

Realization hit Ruby. Roman Torchwick was behind this! Ruby had to let the others know.

"We were wrong to stop Roman!" she cried, her heart going out to the poor criminal mastermind.

"Yeah. I'm glad that he got away," said Blake, "I'm just as much a criminal as he is, so he deserves better than us pestering him.

"I must say that, if he's sticking it to the SDC, then he's alright it my books. Not to mention, his patience to have to deal with all those stinking, incompetent faunus is truly admirable. No offense, Blake," said Weiss.

"None taken," Blake waved it off, "We faunus are brainless and we do smell."

"We should have stayed in class instead of bothering him," said Yang, "We're as dumb as pig shit, based on how often we ditch school to waste his time."

"We were dumb the moment we decided to become huntresses," claimed Ruby, happily, "I'm a nosy, fucking bitch that doesn't know when to let things go. Playing the hero is a ridiculous pipedream; I never should have come to Beacon in the first place."

The girls simmered down. Then they were worried. That had been a lot.

Whilst they were back to normal now, at the time, they believed fully what they were saying. It made sense then and, strangely, it still made sense now.

However, the girls knew that they wouldn't actually believe it.

Right?

Are the girls getting corrupted? Does Roman take advantage?
