Reunion

Three days later

“Knock knock.” Robin knocked on the open door of Eve’s dorm room, poking her head out of the doorway. “Is it safe? With the smell and all?”

“Relax, I’ve taken a bath with baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dish soap back at home. I smell like a bouquet of roses.”

“I’ll take your word for it.” Chuckled Robin. “You haven’t heard from Andrew ever since that night, have you?”

“Nope, and I pray to God, Buddha and the entire greek pantheon that I won’t. His sister assured me that he is in it deep with his parents, so it’ll be quite a while till I’ll see him again.”

“May the good times never end.” Laughed Robin.

“Hear, hear!” Sam walked over to the two, smiling like she was walking on a cloud.

“Why, aren’t you chipper? Excited for the date with your knight in shining armor?” Grinned Robin.

“Excited doesn’t even begin to describe it. You know, I’d almost thank the Red Devils for stealing our clothes.”

“Funny you mention that.” Eve crossed her arms. “I gave them a certain ‘thank you’ the other day.”

“Eve, what did you do?” Asked Sam, slowly walking towards her friend.

“I showed them what happens when you mess my friends, and Andrew’s smell gave me an idea.”

Yesterday

“Have you heard what happened to the strikers and goalie of the Swift Aces? They apparently got suspended for ‘public indecency’. Way to go, Steffie!” A striker from the Red Devils high fived her blond teammate in the shower.

“Thanks! That outta show them not to screw us over. And next year, we- my, what is that smell?” Stefanie covered he nose. The team walked towards the lockers, only to see a baker’s dozen of modified stink bombs going off near their clothes.

“Oh my God! This is unbearable! We have to get out!”

“But what about our clothes?” Begged Steffie. “Aren’t the guys using the field now?”

“Forget them! Anything is better than this hellhole!”

The girls ran outside, catching the eyes of the guys.

“Man, isn’t this a dream come true?”

“Looking good, Devils!”

“You been working out, Steffie?”

The girls covered themselves in shame. “Damn you, Swift Aces!”

“You did that during your suspension? You could’ve been expelled!” Yelled Robin.

“Maybe.” Grinned Eve. “But you guys are worth it.”
