The next step?
Retribution and Relocation
It turned out when Carnachias called this a JRPG fantasy world she hadn't been kidding seeing as how Adventurers were just like I had been anticipating, with a few minor tweaks. They came in ten ranks, staring at Bronze then going to Iron, Steel, Silver, Gold, Obsidian, Mythril, Diamond, Orichalcum, and finally Adamantite, with my newest slaves being Iron ranked at this time and apparently the Heroes were all Adamantite ranked. Adventurers did receive various benefits for their life risking work however, with their guild ID's being used as passports to any nation affiliated with the light and most of the neutral ones as well, access to a large cache of information depending upon your rank, discounts with certain allied merchants, resources for training or ranking up, and much to my surprise, should you die in the line of duty your next of kin will receive a tenth of the total earnings that you brought to the guild as a form of life insurance. For the most part Adventurers were mercenaries working for their own benefit, however if the nation that they were in called for a state of emergency they would be the first ones drafted into the army to aid in the crisis.
Luckily joining was rather simple, and with the right help I could gain access to a much wider range of places with little fear. Plus the opportunity to start placing sleeper agents around the world could prove invaluable in the long term. With my next step decided it was time to tie up loose ends here. My first order of business was in regards to my dungeon, with orders given to the men to continue reinforcing the fortress above and maintain the place in my absence, and a reminder to continue to follow my orders in my absence. With that taken care of and orders for my Emanations to train the new imps to be battle ready I took my new slaves with me as I made my way back to Middle Fields to punish those that raised their hands against me.
As we approached the village I ordered Rava and Amara to crawl before me to make it absolutely clear what had happened to their party, and it had the desired effect as we approached with the villagers seeing this and looks of absolute fear spreading onto their faces as I snapped my fingers for the two to stop moving as they knelt on the ground as I stepped forward and let my gaze move over the villagers who at least had the decency to look terrified by my presence.
"It would appear that I was too lenient to all of you." I said, my voice carrying throughout the village "I showed you mercy, allowed you to live your lives in peace and security, and this is how you repay me?" None dare speak as I moved my gaze further along until it rested upon the approaching form of Veric.
"My lord, it was not the will of the village that this happened." He pleaded as he fell to his knees before me.
"Then who?" I asked calmly as I drew my dagger out and rested the tip of it on Veric's head "Who called forth adventurers to slay me?" Veric was silent for several moments at this and I could tell that while he wanted to preserve the village he also did not wish to condemn whomever it was that had committed this act, prompting me to begin speaking again "By your silence you know who it was, but you do not wish to throw them to me which means that they are either someone close to you or they are a child. It is likely a child as a full grown adult going missing for the length of time that it would take to get to Woodguard and request adventurers to come here would have been noted by my imps and reported to me."
Veric made a choking sound at this as I had clearly hit the nail on the head before he looked up at me with wide eyes.
"Please, please spare them."
I stared at Veric for several heartbeats before I said slowly "Just what kind of monster do you think I am? I will not harm one hair on that child's head, on this you have my word."
Veric was clearly torn before he rose and motioned for a child to be brought forward. They were no older than 10 if I had to guess, dark red hair and green eyes with sun weathered skin from living a life out in the fields. As the child was brought to me I saw that it was a boy and that he looked terrified as I knelt down so we were close to eye level.
"So you were the one that called them?" I asked as the boy nodded, trembling like a leaf "What's you name?"
"Nealand..." he said quietly, barely able to meet my gaze.
"Nealand, a good name." I nodded as I studied him with my God's Eye and nodded at what I saw "You didn't come up with the idea by yourself did you?" I pushed a bit of mind control onto the boy as I spoke, making it so he would speak the truth.
"No... Ma and Pa told me to. They said you were evil and had to be killed so we'd be safe. That you eat children."
"Now that is just disgusting. I wouldn't eat a child." I said, making a disgusted face as the boy blinked and smiled a bit as apparently the look was rather humorous "I know I'm different from you, but you shouldn't judge others by appearance, ok?" As Nealand nodded I continued "You don't need to worry, you were a good boy who did what his parents wanted him to do. But what your parents wanted you to do was wrong. So where are they?"
"They're hiding in our house." He said as he pointed to a particular house.
"That's a good lad." I smiled as I stood up and looked at the terrified Veric "Find a good family to take this boy in. Make sure that he isn't mistreated. Am I understood?"
"P-perfectly." Veric blinked in shock as I walked off towards the house that had been pointed out to me. I wasted no time as I kicked down the door. The house wasn't anything fancy, with the kitchen and dining area taking up the majority of the space with a door leading to the bedroom that the family likely all shared. I could hear their breathing from the bedroom as I walked to the door and kicked this one off it's makeshift hinges as well, hearing Nealand's mother scream in terror as I saw the father try to swing at me. I can respect a man trying to defend his family, but an example had to be made as I caught the blow with my right hand easily as I countered with a quick punch to his stomach that knocked the fight out of him. Grabbing the two by their hair I dragged them both outside to the town square where the rest of the people were all gathered as I threw the pair down in front of them.
"Let what is about to happen be a lesson to all of you. I gave you all a chance to live quiet lives, but for some among you that was too much to ask. So if you cannot be civilized then I can only make sure that you are treated like a beast instead." I said as I started with the mother as I grabbed her head and focused on making the changes to her that I desired. This was a power that I was unsure of how to use effectively as I had thus far not experimented with body alteration too much, but seeing as how it came from the power of my two Dark Goddesses I could only assume it's power would be great as I focused. Much to my pleasure the changes began taking effect over her in a bright light as she let out a wail that slowly changed as her vocal chords were changed to only allow for bestial moaning and grunting. Her muscles rearranged themselves as she dropped to all fours as her bones snapped into their new positions that would allow her to move as her once human hands and feet were changed into the hooves of the beast I planned on her becoming. As the changes stopped and she let out her plaintive moans I quickly cut away her clothing to leave her completely naked as two tentacles emerged from my waist to inject her breasts to make them balloon out and begin lactating, completing her transformation.
"Listen well." I said loudly as I used mind control to take hold of every person in the village, feeling a considerable drain on my reserves "This is no longer a person, this is your new Hucow. You will need to milk and feed it daily, but otherwise you may do what you will with it. It's body has been changed so that it will only give birth to more Hucows, so enjoy fucking it to your hearts content." The people all nodded at this as if it was common sense as I knelt down and spoke to my new creation, focusing my power on it exclusively "You are a Hucow. You exist to be milked and fucked. But in the back of your mind you will always remember what you were, and you will always remember that you can never go back to being that."
Standing up I looked at the husband and grinned as I grabbed his throat and began his changes. He grew in size, standing now at seven feet tall as his arms elongated to nearly drag on the ground and his muscles grew in size throughout his body, especially in his chest, shoulders and arms. His tongue shrank down and his lower jaw grew and extended so he could only let out shrill screaming sounds now as I then made his cock fall off entirely, leaving him like as sexless as a doll. Still holding his neck I spoke first to the crowd.
"This is your Mule. It is a dumb beast of burden that will do all physical labor that you instruct it to. It is a very dumb beast that will eat anything you wish to feed it, so no need to waste true food on it. Put it to work, throw stones at it, beat it with sticks, do what you will with it." Once finished I spoke to him in a whisper "You are Mule, a dumb beast that exists to serve the people of this village. You cannot raise a hand against any of them no matter what they do to you, and you do not wish to. But in the back of your mind you will remain the man you are, and always remember that you inflicted this hell upon yourself."
Releasing Mule I stepped back as it let out a shrill sound as it ambled off towards where its home used to be before a man took a switch and smacked it away.
"NO! Beasts sleep outside!" He snapped as he struck it again and Mule just let out its piteous shriek as it shuffled off as I heard Hucow let out a moan as one of the men in the village started leading it towards the barn.
"Rava, Amara." The two rose quickly and moved to my side as I started walking out of the Middle Fields "How long will it take to reach Woodguard?"
"A few hours at a steady pace." Rava answered "If we hurry we can arrive before night falls and they close the gates."
"But they are not likely to allow you to enter the city Master Vastator." Amara said quietly.
"That is true, luckily I didn't plan on letting them see me." I chuckled as we started out.
The pace was moderate and luckily there weren't too many people on the road that I needed to use my powers on to make them forget that they saw us. It was late afternoon when we came into sight of the walls and I used my Shadow Cloak skill to disappear into the lengthening shadows with orders for the two women to enter normally. They flashed the tags that represented their rank in the Adventurers Guild and were allowed in rather quickly as I slipped in right after them, keeping to the darker parts where I could to give my skill more darkness to work with as a moving shadow would raise suspicion if seen. Woodguard was a decent sized city with most of the buildings built of wood and painted a variety of colors that gave the city a lively feeling to it. There a few thousand people living in this city full time and it could house upwards of ten thousand during emergencies.
As I trailed after the pair I noted only the occasional patrol, with the guards wearing chainmail and leather armor with short swords and mattocks seeming to be the preferred weapons that most carried though there seemed to be at least two men in every patrol of four that had spears. From the count that I saw there was likely only about 100 guards here in the city, with more likely protecting whomever it was that oversaw the city's management. So likely closer to 300 in grand total, and from what my God's Eye was telling me most of them wouldn't be any stronger than Iron ranks, but without further information I couldn't be too confident in the direct approach, especially considering that I had yet to see the strength of higher level adventurers and only knew of the relative strength of those that were in the Adamantite from what I knew of the heroes. I pulled myself from my musing as we arrived at the Adventurers Guild and stepped closer to the pair, whispering to them my instructions as we stepped inside.
The entire building was two stories tall, with stairs off to the left side leading up to the second story where from the sounds of it was where the adventurers hung around between jobs. The ground floor was clearly more business oriented as while having a small waiting area for prospective clients there was a counter with two women and a man manning it, though the currently looked rather bored. Off to the side were a set of doors, most of them numbered that likely represented meeting rooms and the one without a number most likely heading to the back area for the employees. I stayed back in the shadows as the two walked up to the counter and one of the clerks looked up at them and let out a gasp.
"Rava, Amara! What happened?" She asked in shock as they approached, with Amara turning her head down as she let out a low sob.
"It went badly." Rava said quietly "The Devil we were sent to kill was stronger than we thought. Tilon and Westly sacrificed themselves to kill it."
The clerk let out a gasp as she looked at Amara who was shaking quietly as she let out chocked sobs "By the gods... You're both ok right?"
"We'll survive. But..." Rava trailed off "We're likely going to need a new party." Rava lowered her voice as she spoke "Preferably all women. The last thing Amara needs is some guy hitting on her."
"Of course." the clerk nodded empathically "Why don't you go upstairs and I can see who's looking for a party right now."
"I'd... I'd like to be alone..." Amara whispered out. The clerk had to have been some kind of saint, or just really gullible as she only let a small smile touch her face as she nodded and led the pair to one of the meeting rooms.
"Just rest here. I'll get all the files together and bring some tea."
Walking away the pair opened the door and stepped in, leaving the door open just long enough for me to step inside as my Shadow Cloak dropped.
"Good acting." I chuckled as the pair knelt before me.
"Thank you Master." The pair chimed out "What shall we do now?"
"Now we turn that delightful little clerk to out cause and see about getting you some new slave sisters. After that, we shall see."
