Retreat

The water was white and murky, and reminded the couple of the rumors about the sperm lizards white swamps. Could they have stepped in their territory?
While the prospect of a strong opponent sounded good, especially due to the worth of their demonic cores, even a single lizardman would most likely be too much for Ren to handle on his own... not to mention about the rumor about girls getting pregnant just by getting close!

It was most likely an exaggerated rumor, but why risk it? Anyway there was no lizardman in sight, and who knew if they'd find any on the other side.
Mei could go alone to scout... but better not separate here so deep in the woods, who knew what could happen?

The two pondered for a bit, then choose safety over profit.
