Rest up before the big day.

With such uncertainty ahead, your own anxieties bring a series of strange surreal dreams. It's exhausting at first, but at some point in the dead of night, all such thoughts start to fade into darkness, like your mind is opening to a sky of twinkling stars--swirling nebulae, clouds of star-stuff, spots of brightness though the majority being a deep endless void of nothing at all. Stress fades as you feel softness over your face instead. It's relaxing. Then slowly, the sky begins to pull back and come into the shape of a woman. You were against her stomach moments ago, as the sky stands before you now--Aris, the etherite.

You rub your eyes. "What's going on? Is something terrible going to happen again?"

Her hair wafts up in a non-existent breeze. "I don't know for sure, but I did come to give you a warning, albeit vague. I think my sister may be waiting at your destination."

"Nae?"

"Just keep your wits about you."

"As long as she doesn't trap me in a pocket dimension with some kind of cosmic dragon again."

"I wish I could tell you what's going on. It seems to be some sort of festival, but I think you already knew that. Elok Daven has invited many, and others have invited themselves. I think that's all a part of the plan, however. This is going to be an event that the people of Tivera remember forever. Never before has someone been able to gather multiple Demon Kings to something such as this. Meetings perhaps, but not a festival. This is the power of everybody's hatred for the man in play."

"If the king wants what's best for the empire, he'd hate this happening so close."

She shrugs.

You stare down at your hands. _If he made me how I am, then there's no telling what sort of sick experiments have given him even crazier knowledge. He's gotta be stopped before things get out of control. _When you look back up, Aris is no longer present.

However, you shiver at the whisper of her voice now right beside your head. "Good luck, Kyle Warren. Your life has certainly been made complicated."

"You're telling me."

After that, you don't remember anything else, so you must have drifted back to sleep for real. Night passes by. And come morning time, you notice Imaeris and his crew have already departed a far distance ahead. The sun is barely up, but it's now or never. You'll arrive at your destination in less than a couple hours.
