Reporting for work

At home, you packed your small luggage. You followed the admin note and packed 2 sets of casual clothes and 12 sets of underwear. Uniforms will be issued out. Your mum prepared a heavy breakfast for you with toast and eggs.

You packed your passport with some cash into your sling bag. Your mum gave you a lift to the Star Pacific Cruise Centre. It was very crowded when you arrived. Your mum parked her car and you made your way to the reception counter.

“Hi, I’m Alex, I’m reporting for my internship with Pacific Star Cruise.”

“Oh, Hi Alex, we’ve been waiting for you. We’re very understaffed for months. Finally, there’s an intern. Follow me to see the manager.”

You followed the receptionist to the managerial office. “Knock on the door and enter, don’t worry, our manager is a really nice person.”

You knock on the door and a voice came in from the inside. “Come in.” You opened the door.
