Reluctantly

Max sighed, realizing that Jenny was not going to let her out of this as she shook her head. "Fine, I'll help you play detective."

"Thanks, Max!" Jenny said as she gave Max a quick hug before bolting off, "You won't regret it!"

"Too late..." Max muttered as she walked away in the other direction, looking around. "There has to be someone who's seen something fishy around here. And the best place to start is with -"

"Hey, Kingston!" A blonde called out mockingly, "Nice act! Though I gotta admit, if your pants hadn't ripped off, I'd think that Epsilon Nu Zeta got **** enough to merge with a fraternity!"

"My favorite part was when your elephant ass was jiggling like crazy!" The blonde's redheaded friend said.

"Ha! Ha!" Max shouted back sarcastically as the blonde and her friends laughed, "Laugh your freaking asses off! And my butt is not fat! It's... Plump."

"Yeah, plump like an overinflated balloon!"

Max growled as she stomped past the group, her face blazing. "As I was saying to myself, the best place to start is with Olivia..."

"I am not going out there, Jenny!" A chubby redhead from Epsilon Nu Zeta dressed as a stage magician shouted as she hid behind one of her props. "I go out there and preform a trick, and my fat naked ass is seen by everyone!"

"Kelly, relax." Jenny said as she placed a hand on the young woman's shoulder. "Now, you haven't left those props since you got here, right?"

"R-right."

"And you've been dressed in that outfit since you arrived, right?"

"Right." Kelly said, a little more confidently.

"So, you have nothing to worry about, right?"

"Right!" Kelly said as she jumped out from behind the prop. "You're absolutely right, Jenny! And just because those other girls ended up naked, doesn't mean I will. I have been extra careful with my costume and props! I can and will preform and give a perfect show! I just need you to do one thing for me, Jenny."

"Sure, Kelly. What is it?" Jenny asked with a smile...

One that faded as Kelly fell to her knees and grabbed Jenny's pant legs, a frightened expression on her face as her eyes watered. "PLEASE! Talk me out of doing this!"

Jenny groaned.

Max approached The Campus Security Guard, Olivia, as the latter was talking with three of her friends. "Hey, Olivia!"

"Hmm?" Olivia asked as she turned around and saw Max. "Ah, hey there, Kingston. Caught your act earlier. Wicked! However," she chuckled, "I don't think that's what freestyle means."

"Ha! Very funny." Max said with a roll of her eyes. "Look, Jenny and I have reason to believe that somebody is sabotaging the talent show this year. Have you seen anyone weird coming into here?"

"Well, I saw Elenore here, and she's the biggest weirdo I know." The thirty-one year old guard said teasingly as she gestured to a woman her age with long black hair.

"Yeah, I - HEY!"

"Oh, you know we love you, El!" A dark skinned beauty a year older than Olivia said as she patted her shoulder. The woman then turned to Max and said, "I'm Denise, by the way. I'm sorry about what's happening with the acts; especially yours since, Olivia was right. That was really wicked! You know, I was actually part of Epsilon Nu Zeta back in the day."

"You don't say..."

"We all were part of these sororities when we attended." Olivia replied, "I was in Delta Gamma Phi, El was in Omega Alpha Kappa..."

"And I was Nu Iota Rho." A sharply dressed thirty-two year old woman with short brunette hair finished. "Annabelle Charles, Ms. Kingston. I must say, your sorority has improved on the quality of your acts since last I attended. Nudity aside, of course."

"That reminds me, the next act should be up soon!" Denise said as she began to walk away, "I'm gonna give the next girl a little pep talk. They can't all end up naked, after all."

"Catch ya later, Den!" Olivia called out as Denise walked over to the stage, earning a confused look from Max. "What?"
