Reincarnating a human soul.

Annia was pacing back and forth in the Underworld throne room, her wife sitting on her throne, watching the youth goddess in amusement.

"Annia, you got to relax," said Elisia, "there is no sense in getting yourself worked up."

"But I never done anything like this before!" Said Annia. "I talked to mom and dad and everyone else about this and I still don't know what I'm doing! What if I do it wrong and something seriously bad happens? I don't know if I could live with myself if something bad happened."

Elisia stood up and calmly took Annia's hands into her's.

"You're going to be fine. We're going to be fine. This process has been done quite a few times and safe to say my record for it is impeccable."

"But we've never made a god like this before! It's nuts!"

"I'll admit that it is unorthodox, but this is not the first time this has happened."

Mortals are almost hardwired to continually adapt and grow and expand beyond their present selves, so simply leaving their souls within a specific afterlife for eternity never really stayed. Because of this, Elisia and a few other **** gods under her dominion came up with the perfect solution; reincarnation.

When a virtuous soul has outlived the pleasures and contentment of paradise, or if a sinner has endured their punishment and have worked off their vices, they were to be brought back to the mortal realm where they would be reborn into the body of a new animal or again into humanity. This was the economy of the Underworld. What made this specific occasion so unusual was that they were going to conceive a god this way. Gods were way different than mortals, and most gods would usually find easier means to procreating. Only rarely have gods ever ventured to the Underworld to ask Elisia to perform this ritual, usually same-sex couples looking to conceive or gods who wished to be reunited with their lovers (if not as lovers, then as family).

Elisia has sent out a message to nearly every god within the Underworld, asking if they had a soul ready for reincarnation that they could spare for her and Annia, and thankfully one of them had messaged back. All they had to do now was wait for that god to come with the soul.
