What has Reed Richards discovered?
Reed Has Ruled Out An Interdimensional Cause
"After careful analysis of the residual interdimensional energies and subspace fluctuation in our bodies," Reed Richards said, her bra-lass breasts shifting distractedly in her Fantastic Four costume as he indicated various screens in the lab. "I've been able to determine that's what affecting us is not a direct or indirect result of our recent trip through subsequent dimensions.
Ben Grimm, who had been forced to wear the biggest hockey jersey she owned to cover her boulders, grimaced.
"Stretch, if I understand ya correctly, ya still have no idea what actually caused my monolith an' bowlin' balls to turn into the Grand Canyon," the Thing said. "An' no idea how to fix it."
"Er...very astute, old chum," Reed admitted. "I have managed to rule out one possibility, but the actual agent of the change will require more testing and analysis."
"Sue wants to take me bra and panty shopping," Johnny said, miserably. The young blonde woman took her face in her hands. "What are we going to do? What if there's an emergency and we have to go save the world."
"Ah, don't be such a misogynist prick," Ben growled. "Just cause we're women doesn't mean we can't save the world!"
"Hopefully it won't come to that," Reed said. "I've still got many tests to run—but frankly, gentlemen, we may need to resign ourselves to the fact that we might be of the female gender for the foreseeable future. And since our changes appear to be both macrobiological and consistent down to the chromosomal level, we must be prepared for the inevitable in ten to fourteen days."
The Thing's nose scrunched up. "Inevitable?"
Alicia Masters, sitting next to Ben, laid a hand on her lover's great stony paw.
"You have a uterus, Benni," she said. "That means the full experience, including periods."
"Cripes!" Ben Grimm said. "If they hear about that down in Yancy Street, I'll never live it down."
The Human Torch buried her face in her hands and began to cry. Sue Storm hugged her new sister too her and cooed softly.
"It's okay. I'll get you some chocolate. Maybe a spa day! Just us girls..."
It was cruel, and a part of Sue regretted seeing her own brother in such a state. Yet her eyes were on Reed, who had already turned back to the screen.
Reed Richards hadn't discovered the cause of the change yet. However, the now Mrs. Fantastic was the smartest woman on the planet. It was only a matter of time.
